Well, what can I say but exactly what happened with grandfathers funeral. My grandfather had a stroke on Saturday, Aug 29th then was transferred to a hospice clinic, Wednesday, Sept 2nd. He passed away Saturday, Sept 5th. All of this happened so suddenly. Because this happened during Labor Day weekend, the funeral home had to wait until Tuesday to get the death certificate. Until they have that, they cant proceed with finalizing all the plans. The plans did not get finalized until Wednesday, Sept 9th. Plans were set as follows: private family viewing on Thursday and funeral service on Friday morning. My grandfather was to be cremated after the private viewing. Well..... apparently his body was cremated before Thursday!!!! So in other words, there was never a family viewing. Thankfully my immediate family was there to spend his last moments with him. Sadly, one of my aunts and my grandfathers sister (and her daughters) never got to view him. I mean, how does that happen? Its not like they misplaced paperwork or sold someone the wrong coffin. My dad was very torn up about this and completely in shock at how this came about. At least the funeral service was nice and the funeral home director and employees were very professional. Unfortunately, this is something that you just cannot come back from. Be wary if you use this funeral home. Make sure they know exactly what your wishes are and follow them through completely.

My dad passed in Aug. 2013, Barnes Friederich Funeral Home was a blessing to my mother during the whole process of planning his funeral and burial. In April 2015, my mom passed and we choose Barnes Friederich Funeral Home for her burial as well. I appreciate everything that Barnes Friederich Funeral Home did both for my mom during dads passing and then for my brothers and myself after mom passed. It is extremely difficult dealing with a death of a loved one and at the same time having to plan a funeral. Barnes Friederich was professional and courteous from the beginning to end. The suggestions they gave during the planning of both funerals was such a great help I cant express enough how much I appreciate everything they did. The preparation of both of their bodies was excellent, it was such a relief when we saw both of them for the first time in their caskets, excellent work! I cannot thank them enough for being there for my mom and then for me and my brother s.

Where can I began. I want to start by saying having to bury my mother was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I was really scared of picking the wrong funeral home , due to so many horror stories. Kyle , Mr. Parish , and the other staff were so kind. I have to speak highly of Kyle. He went above and beyond his job to insure that I was coping and that my mother was well taken care of. He even had a surprise for my mother at the burial sight. My mother was a huge sooner fan. Lets just say she is smiling bright and I know she is thankful for the care and lovely surprise. Kyle is your reading this just know you have done something coming your way. You helped me tremendously through the toughest part of my life. I know the difference between real care and just passing by. Thank you so much for all that you have done. I will recommend you of someone has to bury a loved one.
