There was a lot of effort spent pushing the "Lifetime Membership" and no time spent explaining that you might have to pay for multiple "lifetimes". No this is not something from the philosophy of India class you took in college, it is a misleading way of taking couples for an extra grand at joining time. The facilities are EXCELLENT & clean the people friendly and even the locker rooms smell great. Overall this is as good as the best gyms in Portland like the RAC but the price is more affordable. I would give them a five star if it were not for the fact that I now wish my lawyer was present to read the fine print. Yup, skip a month a month and your "lifetime" is over and time to pay another "lifetime fee."

Disgusting and old. Timberhill charges way too much in membership fees to still have carpeted floor. Theres no telling how old it is but based on the smell and look Id say roughly the beginning of time. The TVs and DVD players break and are out for weeks. The womens locker room is always filthy and good hygiene is not enforced. Many a time Ive walked in on bare bottoms sitting on the benches. Gross... Its location makes you think it would be an updated, clean gym. Its a shame. PLEASE TIMBERHILL tear out that repulsive carpet. Ive probably paid enough dues to cover the cost alone, and Im a part time student member.

It was fine for a few years, then fell into decay and shabbiness so I stopped going. When I cancelled my membership, they billed me for an additional month on some technicality in the fine print of their contract. Very disappointing treatment after I had been a paying member for several years. If you have to cancel your membership, be sure to do it in writing and get a receipt that you cancelled. Then check your credit card statement for the next several months.

I wish false comments would be deleted- the person who said something about "lifetime" memberships must be confused with another club. There is no such membership nor has there been since Ive been there for the past 14 years! The salespeople are anything but pushy- I was shocked to read such garbage. Go see for yourself- I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised...

Timberhill is filthy, the showers are falling apart and are full of mold. Most of the vents have mold as well. It was supposedly remodeled a couple of years ago, but you cannot tell.

Clean and friendly staffing. Great racquetball courts, and great exercise area. Many exercise classes offered. Drive 1 1/2 hours, one way and 3x a week to get to this club.
