Misty, Brooke, and the Luxe team, are amazing! We were planning our Portland, OR wedding from across the country and Misty and Brooke were our wedding coordinators. Wed secured most of our major vendors and had a basic plan, but we needed someone to help us figure out the details and execute, and they went above and beyond that. Misty is a great listener and focused on understanding what was most important to us, but also was ready to share options or an opinion on the decisions where we didnt have a strong opinion. For example, we had an unusual setting for a processional and she recommended the perfect approach. And, when we were looking for something fun for our guests, she shared a recommendation for a photobooth and a magician, both of which we used and which were hits with our guests. When we didnt have a preference about linens, she made a beautiful recommendation. Finally, when we were ready to print programs, Brooke stepped in and figured out how to mimic the print from our wedding invitation for programs- it turned out gorgeous! Misty and Brooke went above and beyond in any number of ways. They scoured over our vendor contracts and caught and confirmed details that we had missed - for example, we wanted champagne passed before our ceremony, and Brooke caught that that detail hadnt made it into the contract. Brooke walked us through each moment of the wedding itself, which was invaluable especially given that we had limited time in our location and we needed their guidance. Brooke remembered every detail from our conversations and made them happen on the day itself. In addition to finding a shuttle for our guests, Brooke secured a fantastic town car for us and our families, and the driver knew exactly what to do. Finally, when we got into town the week of our wedding without having taken any dance lessons, we asked Brooke on a whim if she knew anyone, and she was able to find a great dance instructor who met with us for an hour to give us some moves. It was truly remarkable. At the same time, Misty and Brooke were very clear about the things that we should feel more urgent about in the planning process, which made it much easier to prioritize, which was especially helpful given that we were across the country. And, they were wonderful with our families. Finally, their management of that final day was outstanding. They handled every detail and completely took care of it and we could focus on enjoying our wedding. If you work with the Luxe team, you can feel in peace about the details on your wedding day, and you will be able to focus on the experience and meaning of your wedding. We were so happy with our wedding day, thanks to their support leading up to the event and during. We cant thank them enough!

I can understand why some people may be resistant to hiring a planner for their wedding, but in our case, the service was truly invaluable! We felt they really contributed tremendously throughout the process and during the wedding. The more vendors and caterers - and general complexity - the more you need the services of event professionals. Early on, Luxe helped us to stay focused to gather ideas, crafts, designs and plans for the wedding. They kept us on a series of deadlines to get all of our details prepared well in advance so there would be minimal stress. As the date approached, I saw that they began to reach out to our vendors asking many proactive questions and putting our minds at ease that every piece of the jigsaw would fit into place perfectly. We used a four rental companies and two caterers (meal & cake) and so there were maybe 6 vendors in all - and while it may not sound like much, when the guests make last minute plans or you decide on last minute tweaks - it really helps to have the support and guidance of pros to make all the adjustments smoothly! On the day of the wedding, they helped to orchestrate all the moving parts and managed things so that we could really enjoy ourselves. They took all of our decor and bits and turned it into something that, to us, looks like it could be a magazine cover. They translated our vision beautifully, and made it lovelier than we could ever dream. Its hard to think about before the wedding, but all those vendors/caterers are working for you and looking to follow your lead... if you dont have anyone else to help with all the details, it would be easy to find yourself managing your wedding more than enjoying the fleeting beauty of the day and the company of your new in-laws. I wanted nothing more than to be swept up in emotions of love and family - Luxe helped things to go so smoothly, they allowed me to really enjoy the day for myself. My only regret for the wedding was not opting for more services from Luxe to stay until the end of the wedding. In the end, I had to be responsible for moving/sorting rental items and dealing with a bit more than I was prepared for at the end of the night. With a nostalgic vision to ride off into the sunset of wedded bliss in your mind, you dont want to take a detour by carrying nearly a ton of log stumps up a hill in your dress pants... Luxe would have certainly been prepared for all the post-ceremony details better than I was! I couldn’t dream of taking on this kind of responsibility for such a complex event - where you get NO Do-Overs - without the help of Luxe. Big shout out to Brooke & Kali for their amazing decor/design work - amazing job all around!

I never write reviews, but my experience with Luxe was so incredible that I felt like they deserved a shout-out. My husband and I were on the fence about whether or not to get a coordinator for our 40-guest wedding, because, hey, its small. It should be easy enough to do on our own, right? Thank god we went to meet with them out of curiosity, because there is so much more to wedding planning than either of us realized. They did everything. I mean everything. Thanks to all of the wonderful, professional, amazing women at Luxe, no detail was overlooked. They put together time tables, wrangled absent vendors, connected us with vendors when we werent sure what we wanted, and went over every single detail until everything was exactly as we had both imagined. They helped us figure out our budget and prioritize what to spend and where. They even requested a new makeup artist for me when the first one didnt work out. (I was terrified of asking for a new one and hurting the first ones feelings, and Luxe just took care of it for me.) I think one of the best parts about hiring Luxe was that our wedding day was ours. Despite a surprise snowstorm, we didnt have to worry. They figured out how to get vendors safely to the venue so everything would get there on time. We didnt even have to be at the venue until right before the ceremony. They got there around eleven a.m. (for a 4:30 ceremony) to do set-up and direct vendors. We got to hang out at our hotel with our friends and get ready and just enjoy our day. They also helped the ceremony and reception go smoothly, so my husband and I got to be present with all of the people we love, instead of delegating to vendors. They even made sure we ate and drank throughout the day. A lot of people had warned us before hand that little things would go wrong here and there, but seriously, everything went perfectly. To boot, everyone at Luxe was so easy to talk to and really cared about making our day special. I never had to hesitate if I had a question or a concern. If I ever have a big event again, theyll be the first ones I call. Also, special shoutout to Lauren for helping me battle my indecisiveness for months and to Brooke and Ally for wonderful day-of coordination. You all kick ass!
