A basic cremation and mailing of remains for my dad escalated from what they quoted me from under $600 to well over $1000 plus then the funeral salesman reneged on his promise to keep us advised of the process. The pick up was many - many hours late and very quick to leave as if we were overbooked. I wish I did my research first, it would have saved me a lot of stress, so please take a look yourself Crown Memorial has been in the news for: A. A $2.5 million dollar lawsuit for giving back the wrong ashes. B. Being under FBI criminal investigation. C. Part of a lawsuit where they were charged with being careless with dead bodies fluids in 2014, so much that they put innocent people lives to risk. They never updated me of my fathers remains until one day in the mail the ashes just showed up. They are not the cheapest either like they also wrongfully claimed. Crown the company standards and business practices are so poor one should NEVER go their.

My experience with Crown has mentally hard for me. My mother died in her home and Crown was unbelievably late to pick up my mothers body, it was quite a hot day. Finally they arrived and it took a while to remove her, and I walked out with her to the parked rig, saying my final goodbyes to my mom. I looked inside of the vehicle and I was shocked, they had another body inside the rig, and it appeared, so hot inside that Crown had been slowly cooking this poor persons body in a inhuman way. I asked what was going on and the driver basically said this was a way to keep cost down. As soon as they left my mind was so distraught as I constantly asking myself, do they have more pickups to go, is Crown going to be cooking my moms body in this heat, so they can make money? This has made me feel very sick inside and guilty as this will always be the very last vision/memory of my mom.

My father passed. He prearranged a cremation with Crown in Salem. They arrived over a half day late to pick up his remains, thats when the driver explained to me that he was sorry about the delays and said they have heavy traffic jams around their operations headwaters, and on the surrounding Portland area freeways which often cause significant delays coming down to Salem. Since they came and left in such a hurry I knew there were other issues. Then I read that Crown had a criminal FBI investigation into how they disposed of the dead, plus they have related lawsuits claiming they involved unknown people in unnecessary health ricks. With the trifecta of FBI investigations, lawsuits, and poor service this is not a company I could ever take part of again, in any form .

Amazing customer service! They were very helpful during our time of need and not having experienced a loss and wasnt expecting to anytime soon. I highly recommend. Angela and Renee (sp?) Have been the closest to us during this time, helping with everything we need. They got my fathers remains back to us in a timely manner, made sure to get his favorite blanket back to us as well. There was an instance there my mother was drinking a soda while we were there and it had a hole in the bottom. While my mom was in the bathroom they threw it away and ended up getting her a new soda without her even knowing they left to get it♡ very caring employees in this company.

We were totally satisified with Angelas help with our sisters cremation at Crown Memorial!!! Angela worked so hard to make the process easy and helped us get money refunded from a care home! We even decided to go ahead and plan our own creations through them. Absolutely fabulous customer service. A+ as far as we are concerned! Thank you, Angela!!!

Instead of worrying about our familys loss, or making sure they have the correct records and dates, which obvious Crown screwed up on, they showed very little remorse until they tried to sell us very overpriced jewelry. It just seems wrong to use my fathers death to hard sell a cheap necklace.

There wete very helpful in making my mother arrangements and there as soon as we called them and we didnt even live in town i give them up most respect
