Fantastic service! Portland Computerworks is a business you can trust and know your computer needs will be met and at a reasonable price. Ive used their services twice now and both times they were spectacular. After relying on Best Buys Geek Squad to service my laptop I purchased a little over a year ago to service my computer I am so happy I found Portland Computerworks. My first visit had a myriad of issues to address including my internet access being denied and finding as well as accessing some critical files that seemed to be lost and/or damaged. I scheduled an appointment online met with Trevor and we discussed the issues I was having as he did a basic overview of my laptop. Two days later my system was ready for pick-up and when I began using it I was thrilled to find it functioned again like it was brand new! The internet was accessible and my files were recovered and restored to my computer. My second visit (a couple months later) was due to an internet access issue again due to malware. I run Trend Micro on my system for virus and malware protection and I have it update everyday but the malware bug still hit my system and wouldnt let me access a browser (of any kind) on my system. I stopped by at 4:30 P.M. without an appointment and Joseph jumped right in to do a checkup. Unfortunately, he couldnt find the issue with the quick review so we checked my laptop in for a more thorough review and repair job. My computer was fixed by the end of the next business day! Once again, I picked it up to have it running super sweet! Trevor checked me out and explained I was getting hit with malware. He then showed me the likely culprit was accepting a software update from Adobe or Java. His explanation made sense as I have a tendency to accept the Adobe Flash update when it pops up (that are actually posers... stupid creeps!). Oops, my bad! The point is Trevor took the time to help me identify what was causing the issue so I could prevent it vs. having to keep bringing my computer back to them for repairs. I then received some great tips on internet service (since I recently moved from Colorado to Oregon) because I complained about my current provider to them. Joseph took the time to share some referrals and give a testimonial on what he uses and why. I love that these guys are so personable and willing to share tips on how to get the best performance from your machine. Great guys, great business, great service!!! I highly recommend Portland Computerworks for any of your computer service and/or repair needs.

Joseph is not only wonderful at his job but he steps above and beyond to help customers in ways most companies do not. I cannot recommend Portland Computerworks enough. It is such an honest company and has helped me with my mothers ancient computer multiple times (I live in California and am so grateful to have a place I can trust to not take advantage of my mothers lack of computer know how!). Joseph will be so kind to help you with a silly computer question over the phone or in my case last week, take time out of his busy day to go online w me to tell me if the computer I was buying my mother was the best deal. Joseph even called me back to tell me he found a coupon online and emailed it to me! All this at no cost to me, just trying to help. I will always go to Joseph for any computer need and hope my review cinches the deal to new customers to support such an awesome store! Many thanks again Joseph!

I came into this place with an old busted laptop which I couldnt get to start because the power button no longer worked. I just dropped in more or less on a whim after a quick google search. The two fellas who run the business both hopped up to help me and said they would see what they could do and it might be a few days. I went under the shop to have a beer and read a book. Just as I was finishing the beer, I got a call telling me that the computer was fixed. They knew I was at the brewpub and had taken the initiative to fix it as soon as possible using parts they luckily had just lying around the shop. They fixed it up fast and cheap, were extremely friendly and helpful, and sent me on my way. I cant recommend this place more strongly.

Ive had nothing but good experiences doing business with Joseph. I needed a Mac computer to get through the web development program I was enrolled in a couple of months ago and he sold me a refurbished MacBook at a price I was able to afford. During the time of purchase he made me aware of an issue with the monitor and said that if it got worse and became a problem to bring it back and hed fix it for free. Well, I dropped it off yesterday to get it fixed and picked it up today and its working great! Free of charge as promised! This is the place Ill be going from now on when I have hardware issues with my computer.

Over the past year and a half, Joseph has helped me with numerous issues on my Mac desktops and laptop computers. A week ago in office he helped me resolve multiple issues on transfer of domain names, consolidating mail accounts with forwarding, as well as website hosting. Joseph explained his actions as he went along and I observed on a parallel monitor and took notes. During our meeting Joseph did not take outside calls and only concentrated on the questions I brought to him. I have recommended Joseph to friends and colleagues on several occasions for the above reasons. I wont go anywhere else!

SUPREMELY outstanding service from these guys. They went way above and beyond for me by not only ordering the part for me, but also installing it and getting my laptop to me same day. Im impressed. Ive used them before and will continue to use them for all of my computer needs. Joseph was my technician - I cant say enough good things about this operation - He repaired the screen, straightened the chassis in my trusty Samsung laptop, and even went the extra mile and updated and optimized my computer - and even cleaned it!! We had a hard drive go bad, and Joseph was able to quickly diagnosis the problem, replace the old IDE drive with a new SATA drive and an IDE/SATA adaptor, then transfer our data to the new drive in a short time. Had I done this myself, I know I would have spent hours reinstalling an operating system (had to do this last time I had a hard drive failure). I appreciated his willingness to work with me to upgrade my aging system in order to keep my costs down. He was easy to work with and answered all my questions. Would definitely recommend and use him again in the future.

Trevor and Joseph are both friendly and knowledgeable. I had a corrupted 3T EHD and they were able to recover 60% of it. I wouldve given them 5 stars, but I had to follow-up with them a couple of times to get updates. In their defense, though, Joseph just had a new baby and, according to Trevor, the recovery was slow because of the size of the EHD and the corruption kept slowing down and timing out. I do appreciate how they stuck with the pricing that we initially discussed and imparted tons of helpful information. I would highly recommend Portland Computerworks.
