The "BEST" barber shop in the Pittsburgh region!! Actually, the "BEST" barber shop period!! My husband & son (3) have both gotten their hair cut here (by Tony-highly recommend) until we moved recently to the DC area. If it was up to me I would drive both of my guys back home to Pittsburgh every month just for haircuts @ Great Southern!! We have been to other barber shops both in Pittsburgh & the DC area & nothing even comes close to the service you receive @ Great Southern!! Everyone who works there is so friendly and always greets you with a smile! They are fantastic with children & take their time with them....not to mention having toys for them to play with and my sons favorite-lollipops!! The shop is very clean & their prices are great!! My husband & son always sit in Tonys chair & he is outstanding...always the perfect haircut!! He is so great with my son too!! No matter who you choose though you will be 100% satisfied because all of their barbers are great!! If you live in the Pittsburgh area, I PROMISE you will not find a better barber shop than Great Southern!!!! -Thanks Tony for always making sure my little man has the perfect cut :)

It is extremely rare that I will actually take the time to log in and write a review for a place. After sitting in the barber chair for 20 min or so yesterday, it dawned on me that this was truly an old school barber shop. Think circa 1950, in the worst way possible. Maybe not the whole staff was as racist as the guy cutting my hair, but obviously since the convo wasnt exactly in hushed tones they dont care about it. On top of that, hes telling me the young kids that come in like the experience because they can take the playboys into the back. "Just dont bring em back sticky" is the rule. Seriously? First time customer, first time ever even seeing me in your life, and this is the conversation you are bringing to the table? Just amazing.

Asked the guy for a cut and beard shave and edge. said they turned the hot lather machine off already so he couldnt do anything with a straight razor, told him that I didnt care I wanted the edge up with the straight razor. Didnt do it and used a clipper saying itll be just as good which it wasnt.charged me the same amount he would have with an entire hot towel shave and cut combo, $28 and spent about 15-20 mins on a cut that should have taken 45 mins. You can tell they dont have regulars they just get people in a pinch one time and then nobody goes back. No appointments because nobody wants to go back a second time. Scam artists that claim to be an old fashioned barber shop that doesnt everything hair and beard. NOT TRUE. STAY AWAY!

I have been going to the Barber Shop since a friend in high school recommended them over 13 years ago. I have been going to JR ever since - he gives the best hair cuts in town. I have had hair cuts from several of the other barbers and all have been excellent. You always get what you pay for at Bridgeville Barber Shop!

The best place in town for a haircut! Each barber excels in his/her trade but I prefer JR. He knows how to cut my hair without asking and always does a great job. I always enjoy having conversations with him about sports, politics and family. We are so blessed to have this great business right here in Bridgeville!!!

Really bad haircut which was nothing like I asked. Took a long time and there was a lot of extra conversation that probably made him forget what I had asked for. I had to shave my head to fix it. Second star because they are nice.

Great Southern is an excellent Barber Shop. They are affordable and better than anywhere else. Tony is the best Barber Ive ever had. He consistently cuts my hair exactly how I want it. Go see him if you want a real haircut.

Best barbershop in Bridgeville. Almost never a wait but worth it for a great haircut. Greater southern barber shop is very well runned and always a great place to get a haircut. All the barbers are great!

This is a great local family owned business. I can honestly say Ive never had a bad hair cut here. They dont make barber shops like this anymore. I drive past countless other places just to come here.

This is the best place around. The owner knows all his customers by name. Its a very friendly place, and you can get a cut quickly if you need it. I highly recommend this barber shop.
