On May 2nd 2016 Career Concepts posted a job on PA Career Link. I went to Career Concepts the morning of May 4th, 2016 to fill out all the information required by Career Concepts. That took about an hour. I was called into an office for what I thought would be a professional interview but turned out to be nothing more than a waste of time with very unprofessional staff. When I first entered Zack Grosss office and sat down the phone started to ring and he answered the phone. I sat there for about 5 minutes and I could here an employer complaining about Career concepts service while he made excuses. When the man got off of the phone he asked me what I was looking for and I replied that I saw an ad posted on PA Career link for a press operator at Haysite Reinforced Plastics hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift. He asked me what shift I would be interested in and I replied that I was interested in 3rd shift. He told me that I would have to be available for 2nd and 3rd shift. I asked the man if Haysite had some kind of rotating shifts and he replied with No they do not". So now I am wondering why on Earth is Career Concepts advertising this position for 2nd and 3rd shift on PA Career link. He told me that Haysite has a policy where seniority at Haysite gets the shift they want. I understand what he meant by that but what I dont understand is why he is advertising 2nd and 3rd shifts availability. Why did he just ask me if I would be available for 2nd or 3rd shift? After I told him that I was only able to work 3rd shift he asked me if I had my high school diploma. If he would of been professional about this whole process you think he would of looked at my resume and got to see what I had to offer ( H.S. Diploma and all the schooling that I had done after High School). He would of also learned that I had worked at Haysite before. I told him I worked there before. He then asked me why I left and I told him that I was fired. He didnt even ask why I was fired. He immediately told me that Haysite doesnt do rehires. Well I did work there before and I know for a fact that Haysite has done many rehires in the past due to the particular circumstances pertaining to each persons case. I knew that there could be a chance that Haysite may not be interested in rehiring me but it was worth a shot. At least let Haysite be the judge of that. He asked me if I was interested in any thing else and I told him NO. I only came to Career Concepts for a job posting on PA Career Link that advertised positions on 2nd and 3rd shift. I would of never drove to this staffing agency and filled out information for an hour to be greeted and treated in this unprofessional way. He didnt introduce himself, shake my hand or anything that a professional would do. It seemed like he was preoccupied and wasnt even there. Thanks for wasting my time.

Really dont recommend to look for them. I submitted my resume almost 2 months, and found lots of office jobs fits me on their website. But every time when I called local office in Erie, the account manager told me had to call on Friday or next Monday, or they would call me back the next day(actually they didnt call me back even once), or they didnt hear any response from the job. I found I almost waste 2 months in this agency and get nothing. If they dont have these jobs, why do they post them online? And I also feel unsafe, because you have to give all your personal informations to them( including SSN), they might use these informations do some identity fraud. None of their staff tell the truth of what they are doing for you. If you dont have any skill or diploma, maybe you can get a cheap labor job here, but if you are professional, really not recommend to this agency.

I recently moved up here and went to career concepts for some temp work until I can find a steady job. They advertised jobs left and right for over 10 an hour which is decent for temp work. I applied and got a call the next day for a plastic manufacturer. It only paid 8 but I took the job. After 3 hours I could tell they were sticking me with all the work nobody else wanted to do. I still stayed the entire shift so I didnt give them a bad name. The next day I called them over 5 hours before my shift so they could replace me with a different individual. They said they didnt have any other work. I called 4 days straight asking for work and always got the same run around. I would never recommend this company. They dont apply or even look at the skills you have. Youre simply a body thats going to be used to fill a slot somewhere.

I found Career Concepts when looking for job and wasnt sure about it at first. I first thought that they couldn’t provide me anything that I could not provide myself by hitting the ground early and daily. I found that they had a lot of jobs available that could not be found anywhere else other than in the hidden job market. If you are looking for a job in a specific market, go to Career Concepts. The reason I gave them 5 stars was because their speed and service is dynamite. They are very responsive and had insightful responses to my questions. If I could complain about anything is that they have yet to switch to direct deposit which does make it daunting after a while.

They will make you sign a sheet, stating that you receive certain things, then they dont give them to you. If you sign up with them, they consider you eternally working for them. They tell you that they will call you, then dont. If you try to claim unemployment, after not calling for one week (and not getting a job), they will tell UC that you voluntarily quit, you will NOT get benefits, and youll have a quit on your permanent record. They smile to your face, then when your back is turned, they put a knife in it. Ive worked with other temporary agencies and have never been treated like this.

The worst, place to go if you are in dire need of work. They advertise these jobs that you get. The agents have the worst atitude ever, you will feel worse about your situation going up there. I have called them for a week straight and no response.. In my opinion every last one of those workers should be fired and replaced with workers who are not only compassionate but who are willing to work.. At this point I am done with them and whoever reads this go someplace else, you stand a better chance of getting a job!!!!!!!

I recommend Career Concepts to everyone that I know looking for a position. Career Concepts has assisted me in getting a long term career, and were more than willing to help me out even after I lost my position as a recruiter with them. Lynne and Sandy are always there to help anytime I need them. I am gainfully employed now, but anyone I know looking for a position or recently unemployed, I tell them to go to their nearest Career Concepts.
