Not impressed with customer service. But, Ill share my experience and you can judge for yourself. Contacted Rich for an event in 2015. He picked a day, time and place to meet up and discuss services, pricing and the contract details. My sister-in-law and I arrived 15 minutes prior to the arranged time and waited. The arranged time arrived and passed with no one arriving to meet us. My SIL demanded we leave, that it was already a display of unprofessional behavior and lackluster customer service. We stayed because I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. Rich finally arrived, 30 minutes late for the meeting HE arranged. There was no intention to call or text or contact me that he was running late at all until I texted him. When he arrived he said he has been at Staples, lost track of time and that there had been a line. Not the best customer service but I tried to ignore it. At the close of that meeting I was told a contract would be sent to me (via email) immediately. I called and left a message on his cell phone that afternoon to verify some information and that call was never returned. A few days went by and still no contract, so I sent him an email regarding our meeting and his services. No response at all. After 10 days of no word at all I contact him to let him know his customer service skills are unprofessional (especially in this day & age) and that I can only assume he doesnt want my business. He was after all not the only DJ I had contacted...although he was the only one not responding. Oddly enough, that final email was responded to very quickly accusing me of threatening his reputation on social media, which was never my intention...I dont use FB or Twitter or similar sites at all. He claimed he was sick for a few days and not responding to customers. Again, if that is his level of customer service it isnt for me. Unless in the hospital or extremely sick, it takes about 35 seconds to send a 3 sentence email or text message indicating you are under the weather and will respond as soon as you are feeling better. It isnt hard, time consuming nor does it require much energy to just touch base with someone. Rich might be an amazing DJ. The other reviews out there indicate that he is and I am certainly not saying he isnt. Ill never know because of the lack of what I consider to be common courtesy and decent business etiquette . My thinking is, if Im going to give someone hundreds of my hard earned money...they have to earn it the same way I did. I put in my time to get paid, you have to put in yours. When I have 4 other DJs willing to answer my questions and work with me Im clearly going to look elsewhere.

Planning a wedding is an added stress on top of normal life. Here is the story of why I would not recommend this service without even meeting or using the service. Who knows, maybe its a good DJ, but I would not want to find out now. I received a quote from Rockin Out DJ Service, requested a meeting which he was very polite and replied. I did not confirm the meeting or times and at the last minute got call out of town for work so was not available. Upon realizing I had missed the meeting (which was never confirmed so he did not have to show up anywhere), I sent an email to reschedule which he politely responded and I again, had not yet confirmed. In the meantime, my fiance and I met with another DJ service and felt that his services were well presented and the price was right so instead of wasting Richs time and having a meeting, I sent him this message: "I wanted to let you know that we decided to work with another service. Thank you for your patience while we went through this process." The following day I received this response from Rich: "Thanks for making me rearrange my schedule for you, for letting me go and wait until the very last minute to find out if we were even meeting two weeks ago, and then making yet, another appointment, only to cancel that one now and choose someone else entirely without having given me a chance to show you what we could do for you. Im sure you went with a dj that kept lowering their fee until it was bargain basement. I hope that he doesnt back out on you, and shows you more integrity than what youve shown me in this process. Youve wasted me time" Again, planning a wedding is stressful and sometimes life gets in the way. Rich might have a fantastic DJ service, but if hes going to be this rude to people I would not recommend him to anyone.

Rockin Out DJ Service DJd our wedding reception in Downingtown PA and they were great. I loved the selection of music throughout each section of the evening. Even though our event coordinator didnt seem to have it together, Rich was able to get all the vendors on the same page, and never miss a beat with his DJing. A lot of other DJs we met with, not only never called us, but also nickel and dimed us throughout the choosing time, but Rich never did that. He had a one price package that included up lighting and photo booth too. The props for the booth were even theater quality props and not dollar store crap. The photos even came in an archival quality book for us to keep. Rich kept up with his communications with us throughout the entirety of the planning time. Sooo much of being a great DJ is BEFORE the event even happens, and Rich was on top of every e mail and change and itinerary addition. He kept everyone up and on the floor all night and knew just when to change tempos and years, going from genre to genre seamlessly. Thanks Rich for everything. Would recommend you to all our friends.

My cousin put my brother and I in charge of finding the right DJ for her wedding because she knew we would have a blast finding just the right company that could provide what we needed for our very diverse family. Although now she is living near Lancaster, Pa, with her hubby, we needed some old school house music, some salsa and some line dancing music that we knew would have our families up on their feet. What’s funny is that we had lots of old albums, cds and mp3s to share to clearly articulate what we wanted and needed. I was so happy to find Rich and his Rocking Out DJ Service. He was extremely patient with us and very accommodating. He provided everything we needed and even a few surprises. He was the best DJ we’ve ever worked with and we’re looking forward to working with him again for my cousin’s husband’s birthday in the New Year.

Rockin Out DJ Service was great. Rich played all our songs from our playlist, when most other DJs we talked to wanted US to provide them. Rich went out and got the obscure ones and even added some we hadnt thought of. Returned all our calls and e mails, and there were alot, within hours or minutes. He even brought Globe Barn Lights to our venue, Pond View Farms, and strung them up for a fee but it really added to the ambiance. Traditional DJ lights would have been garish and over the top. Rich also had a great selection of dinner music and played and mixed everything soo well. The Kissing Game was fun and not cheesy. Thanks for an awesome time. We appreciate it.
