If I could give the owner Carol a 0 I would. I discovered this "Hot Looks" Hair Salon through a Groupon deal & figured Id give it a shot despite the somewhat mixed reviews as I have usually found other salons in the past & had relatively positive experiences. Upon arriving she had asked me the color which I said Red even showing her a picture of the shade desired. She never once got out her hair pieces to go by as I expected after getting my hair done plenty before which I thought odd nor did she give a second thought to explain the process & setup an expectation. I was also told by Carol at the last moment that the other stylist would be doing my hair & not her which was another inconsistency but I went along with the flow as she had reassured me. It wasnt until 2 hours later after Carol had mixed the color herself & the Jr stylist applied & styled my hair, was shocked to realize that my hair wasnt red at all but more a dark brunette!!! The Jr stylist told me that she understood my frustration & had she been the owner wouldve setup the proper expectation and at a minimum explained exactly what it would take to get my hair the shade of Red that I was paying for... Carol was mostly MIA & when she finally came down to address the situation & my dissatisfaction, initially she had offered to discount me 25% towards my next visit which I was reluctant but had decided to leave it at that as I had someone with me however after a few more minutes of the other stylist wrapping up with me Carol suddenly began to say while with another customer herself that she didnt feel that I deserved the discount & had somehow deceived her so it would no longer stand. I was even more shocked & upset at that point as it was adding insult to injury & told her how I have never been treated that way at any salon in all the years & various salons that Ive visited as I travel often. The other worker was even upset with Carol & wanted to finish my hair when Carol proceeded to walk over & remove my apron so I told her that Id leave a negative review & she said that she didnt care. The WORST experience EVER & Groupon quickly reimbursed me for my troubles! Save yourself & stay away from this place I wouldve paid triple to get the color I wanted and proper treatment by a professional at their craft!

Wow - I had to write a review after reading that last review. I too have the hair extensions that Carol herself uses on her own hair. I love them. She told me that they are good for about 3 months - never ever did I expect them to stay in for a whole year, I mean clearly your hair would grown them down. So I get mine redone about every 3 months. I make sure to comb my hair and separate my hair daily. Whenever it attempts to web in between the extensions I separate it before it gets bad, if you sleep on it without rapping your hair and you dont part your hair than you can get the mess you describe. However, whos fault is that? It is normal and part of the care you have to put into it to enjoy extension hair. I have a feeling you had some serious webbing issues and I just cant believe you cared for it properly. I also get touch ups and my hair cut by Carol and I only ever had good experiences. Look extensions are not for everyone, they require attention and constant care. I heard you were coming in faithfully and than stopped for 3 weeks. The hair comes directly from California and I have researched it and know that the hair is real. Carol uses the same on herself as she uses on me - I seen it come out of the packaging. For me I love Hot Looks and my hair extensions!! Dont believe everything you read - if you want affordable great hair extensions and can HANDLE it - I recommend Hot Looks.

I love hot looks hair salon!! I have issues trusting people with my hair and have plenty of bad experiences in the past but never a bad experience here! I always ask for Carol, as shes been doing my hair since last April. Hot looks is reasonably priced, a comfortable setting, and they know how to cut hair. Ive gone for highlights, hombre, and more technical stuff and i have long hair naturally but ive seen girls come in and get beautiful real hair extentions in and i wish i didnt have long hair so i could get them too. Everyone who works there is really nice and they use the best products my hair feels like silk when i leave. Go to hot looks. They are the best. My hair is the nicest its ever been consecutive months in a row and i dont think ill ever go anywhere else. Thank you hot looks!!

I was always told by a friend to go get color, cut, n fusion extensions from Carol ... Finally I have made it for consultation, She gives amazing prices on what you ask for. She did all the above and I am truly satisfied! I recommend anyone in the area to call Carol and make an Appointment ASAP! She welcomes you in her salon like it is your home, N when you are there you feel at home! I enjoyed every moment in her salon, she not only satisfies her clients ... But makes them feel so comfortable ... As well as her assistant Theresa who does amazing color, style, shampoo, and eyebrow waxing, etc ... I advise anyone who lives close to this area or would like to drive a little distance ... Bc this is the salon you want to be at and walk out feeling beautiful, and amazing about yourself!

What a joke! I call to make a appointment I had the Groupon, thank God I didnt purchase it yet. So I call and this lady tells me a completely different thing then what the actual Groupon said. And as shes talking she isnt making any sense then she said she will charge me an extra 30 dollars because of the length of my hair. HELLO!!! On the Groupon it said extra fees will be charged if hair is longer then shoulder length, my hair isnt even near my shoulders. Then Im trying to explain everything to this woman and then she insists on laughing at me?! I was going to ignore the negative reviews and try the salon out, but forget that. These people are ignorant and rude! And they are crooks trying to get more money out of you, waste of time. I would not recommend this place at all!
