I dont even want to give a star. Well start with the last visit on Wednesday, 6/14/2017. I walked in with my son, expecting a quick haircut, as my nephew was graduating that night, and my son was graduating from elementary school the next day. My son stopped to get a gum ball, as I walked back to the mens section. Albert was sitting in a chair. He looked at me and said "Im sorry, I dont want to cut your sons hair anymore. He doesnt listen and he doesnt keep still." I stood there, just staring at him, thinking this is a joke. I turned around and walked out. I am angry. My son is a regular 12yo boy. Quite honestly, Ive only continued to use this place because the cut was quick(not always good,) and eleven dollars. My sister had this experience when he cut my nephews hair one time-she brought my nephew in, after her husband had taken him somewhere else for a previous haircut. Albert looks at my nephews hair and starts yelling at my sister, "who cut his hair, who cut his hair?" My sister felt like she was a child and had to respond with, "my husband got his last hair cut, I dont know anything about it," Who does that????????? Lets run down some of my experiences from the years Ive dealt with him. The man is miserable. He never smiles. He barked commands at my son every visit-which thankfully was only every 4-6 months. I forgot my credit card/debit card there, he never tried to contact me. I had to call my credit union to find out where the last charge was made. When I walked in, he didnt say a word, he walked over to the register and just handed it to me without a word, I thought that was odd. A few years ago, my son put some sort of product in his hair, the man told me he couldnt cut it, that he would do the sides and back, but to wash my sons hair and bring him back a few days later. My ex-husband brought him back and commented to me the next day, the haircut wasnt very good, there were long pieces of hair not even touched. Ive had a couple of times in the past two years, where I went without a car for a long period, 6-8 months. Me and my kids bicycled from Roslyn to Willow Grove, with my kids wearing helmets. My son and I walked in, the man touched my sons head and said something about grease and I said its not grease. I dont have a car, he was wearing a helmet. If you tell me to come back, his head will be sweaty again, because we have to bicycle to here. He seemed a bit uppity with that response and gingerly dried my sons head. His haircuts arent great. Hes rough with children. He obviously has no children and doesnt have the personality or skill to work with children. My son has always said he doesnt like this man, he has always dreaded going, so I had to spring the haircut on him. If youre taking your son/s to him, I would advise you to find someone else. I was in a rush Wednesday night, and stopped in a place on Moreland Road in Willow Grove, the stylist, while not the quickest, took her time, went out of her way, finding a brush for me and hair product(because the issue with this man, made us late to my nephews graduation.) She put in product. I asked her how my son was, after the cut, and explained what had happened with this "barber," she was shocked and said my son did as she asked and that he was a good client. Her comment about this mans treatment of my son, "he is still a paying client, even if hes 12 years old." We talked about the yelp review, which was done shortly after my last experience with this person. My recommendation is to find somebody else, lots of people recommending places to me on Facebook in Glenside, and Roslyn. Their recommendations include that these stylists, barbersare wonderful with their sons, even younger than my son. RUN, Dont walk away from this business. There is no language barrier, he knows English, he thinks hes the best, and you know what Albert, youre not. He will never come back, I will make sure everybody I know, including those with sons, never go to your establishment. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

After posting my experience and pictures to many forums I was urged by many outraged people to write my review here. I was also urged to persue a full refund but I wont. Upon walking into the salon my stylist clearly had no idea how to do my hair. She had to write down a "formula" on the notecard to mix the bleach. The bleach mixture wasnt strong enough and left an almost black ring around my head while the roots lifted. I told them half of my roots was previously colored by a different stylist and half was virgin hair. They blamed the ring on the previous stylist. I got opinions from other stylists and was told they didnt use a strong enough volume which is why the hair didnt lift on the previous colored hair. The last I had my hair done was back in November. I had a lot of regrowth and my hair was strong enough for the higher volume bleach and developer. At one point when the stylist was blow drying my hair she handed me the blow dryer and told me to blow dry my hair myself while she mixed the color. This had a lot of people outraged when I wrote this and what prompted them to urge me to write a review and demand a full refund. The hair dryer is a stylist tool. It should never be in the hands of a client. I saw the salon has cameras. If they are real and functioning the footage shows this actually happened. I was charged $125 for the work. And I gave her $20 tip which was very undeserving! But thats not the worse part. After I left the salon the stylist called and told me I OWED THEM MORE MONEY. Why couldnt they be straight with me at the salon? My receipt shows $125 and they charged $135. I posted pictures of both the receipt and my bank statement. You dont call a client after they left the salon and tell them the amount is something else. Lots of people said they would take off work to fight with me if I go for a full refund. If not at least I had to write this review. They said they would post it all over social media as well. I am instructed to report to my bank the overcharge of $10. I was told that definitely was not right and I have an attorney who said he would back me up if there are any problems.

Great place to have hair done for the whole family! My husband and my son have been going here for years. Albert took good amount of time to work with my son when he was only 3 and in an age scared of having anyone touch his hair. Albert used his magic way to let him understand haircutting is something enjoyable rather than something to be scared of. Now he would jump onto his chair and have fun to have his hair done. I could never imagine this happening before. His wife has been doing my hair as well. I really like it too. The couple is always so nice. They are both with good skill and nice personality. Also the price is unbeatable elsewhere. I wish they could advertise more about ladys salon since the room is on the back.
