The work is always done well. The bad part is they must be taught to just addon all these other mysterious issues. I have taken countless vehicles to JW over the years. Also took my fleet truck there with ARI service that JW can make a killing off. As of recently I had 3 vehicles. A paid off car that has less than 80,000 miles on it that is a 2006 and perfectly maintained and driven less than 2500 miles a year. An old 1994 beater truck and a new 2014 Ram. Before that ive took a dozen other vehicles there over the years. They dont care. When I bought the beater truck for just hauling and sportsman activities I took it over to get work done. I spent $2000, had them bend and install a new exhaust, new tires, new brakes, inspections and a few other things. The following year I took the same truck back to JW for an inspection. They called said its ready, I walked over to pick it up. And they said sorry the truck failed. It has glass packs on it and they are illegal in PA and wont pass emissions testing. First off no they are not illegal. Nobody in your shop can even pull up any info on the acceptable decibel limit in PA. And secondly, a muffler has absolutely NOTHING to do with emissions lol. Thirdly and I quite politely asked the counter person. "Who put them on there anyway?". He says how should I know, to which I replied "check in your computer". He looked like a ghost, went into the shop, comes back and says your truck will be done in a minute. These are the biggest scamming pricks Ive ever come across. I started taking my vehicles to Monro Muffler for any minor work and tires. They do a fantastic job and will ask you to come into the workshop so they can physically show you any issues they find. I will say though JW does have some of the best prices on tires if that is all you need.

The front desk was very helpful in explaining not only the different tire options but he also showed me the exact tires that they would put on my vehicle. He also told me that the installer found a problem my regular mechanic missed on a recent inspection. I have been recommending the Shamokin store to all my friends.

Although they are slightly expensive on everything but if youre in a hurry and you need to get your vehicle fixed as soon as possible normally its done within several hours not too many places can do that
