B&K Electric just completed a 400A panel upgrade on my 1939 mid-century modern home on the East Side, and the results are fantastic! I was looking for a very neat quasi-commercial type installation to match the clean simplicity design of the house, and to provide the effectively unlimited capacity that a 400A installation brings to a residential application. The upgrade was complicated by the fact that the entire basement is thick poured concrete, including the ceiling, and the original 100A installation was put in before a large wrap-around walkway was installed on the side of the house. Mike provided a solution that avoided large scale demotion of the wrap-around walkway, and a final product that would have left excessive basement wall exposed on the outside and an isolated set of stairs for an exterior side door. I appreciate how Mike considered the design aesthetics of the installation, which I believe is a rare and valuable trait as most electricians are not also interior designers. Mike used the highest quality electrical components possible, and in my opinion planned and completed this project as if it were his own home. Mike is super-responsive, both initially for the quote and throughout the job we were in constant contact. I know it works the same if not the case, but I very much like everything perfectly straight, level, neat, and hidden, and Mike’s team can deliver on that very well. From his team, I had the pleasure of working with Chris, Randy, Cameron, Ryan, Jared and others on this project. These guys are highly skilled professionals, fast and efficient, and are some of the nicest, most friendly people you will probably come across in the industry. I would highly recommend B&K should you need electrical work done, and will be working with them myself on future projects.

I recently hired Mike, the owner of B&K Electric to hard-wire a smoke detector system for a 3 Family home in Woonsocket that I was selling and was very impressed to say the least. As a Real Estate Broker I am always looking for good, honest, quality contractors & vendors and I have to say Mike was all of that and more. Mike is a true professional right down to his neat appearance and cool designer company trucks. Shortly after I called Mike to inquire about his services and we agreed to schedule the job, he had everything in motion almost immediately. Within days we were scheduled with the city, he had acquired all necessary permits and the job was completed in 2 days at the scheduled time, exactly as promised. The work he performed in my opinion was perfect, clean and so thorough as it passed all inspections with the City of Woonsocket and the Fire Department instantly with no glitches, rare! He offers fair pricing, amazing quality work and does what he says hes going to do... in addition to all that such a pleasure to deal with, so easy to work with as he, Chris and all his guys were all so nice and courteous. Mike and B&K Electric are now my new go-to electrical contractors.

We had purchased a 2 family house partly because of the finished basement. Recently we had a building inspector from West Warwick give us an inspection to be approved for energy efficiency grant. W.W. inspectors gave us devastating news that the basement was not up to code and needed to be demolished even know it was inspected when we bought it and again 2 other separate times by the same W.W. building inspectors :( I searched for a licenced electrical company and B and K was quick to give me a call back. Mike explained the cost of everything over the phone and was evan able to quote me an estimate right then and there. I decided this was the professionalism I needed to get past my issues. My basement was ordered to be demolished and thats sad but the electrical issues were fixed in only a few short hours and I am now moving forward with what I need to do. The best part of the experience with B and K was when the job got pricey Mike really worked with me and kept his word he would help me as much as possible. Good job B and K you earned this review.

I have had B&K Electric work at my home several times over the past few years. They have done little jobs - adding a new outlet for a large Air Conditioner, to large jobs - Upgrading my service from 100 Amps to 200 Amps. Each time I have been very pleased with the work that was done. They are nice and courteous and do GREAT work. Finding an electrician that you can trust is not easy. I would highly recommend B&K Electric to anyone who wants a great job and piece of mind.

B&k electric is amazing. I had a problem with my thermostats, they just werent working. Chris came out and figured out the problem in record timing! He was very nice and explained it to me in a way that someone who understands nothing about electrical work could understand. He got the job done very quickly and cleaned up after himself too! Im saving his card because hell definitely be my go to guy for any work I might need in the future!

B&K electric came to my rescue and fixed issues created by a bad contractor. Not only did the put back all the outlets they ripped out but they corrected other issues in my basement. I had a called a previous electrician to do a job and when he gave me quote, when I called Mike I got a bargain of a deal and its been a couple of months after the job and I havent had any issues to give them a call back.
