Finally!!! A place I can take our family vehicles that I can trust. The extent of my auto knowledge didnt go past the door handle, so every time I had to take a vehicle to "the shop" I felt like I was being raped. My lack of knowledge was like a cash register to them, cha ching!!! I happened upon Christian Brothers in Hendersonville by accident. This past winter, when it was blowing, snowing, and bone chilling cold my wife called telling me that her van wouldnt start. I left work and when I got to her she, was in a parking lot and freezing. I didnt have any idea who to call but remembered that Christian Brothers was located about a mile down the road. I called them to see what my options were. They sent someone out to look at the car and determined that it was something as simple as the battery cable had corroded so bad it broke. The guy went back to the shop got the tools he needed and came back to rig a short term fix. It was too cold to work on it where we were and to fix it the right way we needed to go back to CB. We were able to start the van and followed him back to the shop. Once there, they replaced the cable and connector and it cost next to nothing. Now, my wife and I both have them on speed dial. We have older vehicles so Ive been back a good number of times since and have always been very satisfied. My wife really likes the way they explain what they are doing and why in terms that she can understand. So do I. Ill never go to another place with our vehicles.... ever.

Im not sure how I should review CBA of Hville because in the end I was the one who OKed the fixes. I guess since they are the expert and being Christians, like me, that they would charge a fair price. It turns out the parts that were charged were 3 to 4 times what it would cost at Autozone. Now I would understand that there may be a markup but not 4 times the price. Maybe asking the customer if they want to use an alternative would have made me feel better. Even Doctors find a generic alternative. Secondly, there was a diagnostic fee of $49+. Yes, I did ask to have the car diagnosed but I stayed and ended up spending over $1100. If I just left then sure charge me that fee but if I stay and get the work done, then it should not be a fee. It would go a long way in creating a feeling of having someone looking out for me. (in then end, they gave me a online coupon of $25 for having brakes done. Not the same as removing the fee) Lastly, and this is just me but I felt like I was leaving with someone punching me in the stomach and laughing. Just didnt feel very well. I didnt feel like someone was one my side at all. Spending $1149 on a 11 year old car is not a good feeling. Thats almost 3 payments on a new car. As far as recommending this place, well, all I can say is I dont think I will tell others about this place and I probably will not go back. Its unfortunate because it started so well, e.g. they gave me a free bottle of water and a ride to work.

As others have said, this is the most ethical auto repair shop I have ever experienced. They have serviced all of my vehicles since they opened and on several occasions they have advised me NOT to have a service done, rather than trying to "upsell" me. On one recent repair, I expected to pay $500+ for a repair with an expensive part required. When the owner (Matt) picked me up at my office that afternoon for the ride back to their shop, he told me he could not in good conscience charge me anything for the repair, since he believed that an oversight by one of their mechanics several months earlier may have caused the part to fail. I would never have known had he not told me, and I wouldve paid the $500+ as estimated. Other businesses speak of their Christian faith; these guys dont talk about it, they live it. They demonstrate their high values and honesty in their business dealings. If TRUST is a quality you are seeking in an industry where it is rarely found, Christian Brothers is absolutely the place you should go when your car or truck needs repairs or maintenance.

CBA of Hendersonville has a heart of service. They provide excellent care, are very professional, highly knowledgeable and skilled, and always go the extra mile for their customers. The first vehicle I brought to them, had a suspected seized up engine. They thoroughly checked and confirmed my suspicion, didnt charge me at all for their time, and even let me keep it in their parking lot for over a week while I found a buyer to haul it off! (Seriously, who does that these days?) Since that first encounter with CBA-Hendersonville, we have never experienced anything less than the highest level of dependable, reliable, honest, and quality service for all of our vehicle needs. The CBA-Hendersonville Team engages their community, partners with local ministries, and even holds an annual Customer Appreciation BBQ! Theyre the best at what they do, theyve taken good care of us, and they will take good care of you!

My God! I was getting ripped off at Jiffy Lube! Last time I went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change, I got to wait in their dingy waiting cell with about 3 outdated magazines and a loud television set to trash TV. I paid $75. (Typical automotive store ripping off a young single woman who knows nothing about cars.) I went to Christian Brothers because a coworker recommended it. I sat in their clean, homey waiting room with (gasp) this months magazines. They changed my oil, changed out my burnt-out tail light, topped off all my fluids, adjusted my tire pressures, and even drove my car over to Discount Tire to check and see what was wrong with my tire monitor. $35! My God! What was I doing at Jiffy Lube?! They were so nice, clean, reasonable, and friendly! I didnt get pushed into extra services and I didnt get ripped off! I will continue to go back to Christian Brothers for absolutely anything my car needs!

I took my car to Christian Brothers Auto after the engine light started blinking, with no real notable demage to the car. I had read good online reviews about the place so I decided to try it. They are charging $92 hour labor and they told me that the total cost to fix the car was over $1,200!!!! I talked to my dad who fixes car in Michigan and he said it did not sound right. Paid the guys $80 for the diagnostic test (even though I did not want it at first at they talked me into it). Then I took it to Precision Auto where they charge $60 less for labor and fixed my car for $309!!!! The guys at Christian brother were charging to fix stuff that did not need fixing. Plus I did not feel heard when talking with them. I feel very disappointment with them and wish I never had taken my car there to begin with. I hope you read this review before the others so you can BEWARE!!!!
