I was a teacher there in the infant room. Infants were fed on the floor on boppies with bottles propped in their mouths. Bottles, including bottles of breast milk , medications , etc. were not labeled with infant names which is against state regulations. Infant room was filthy, including black mold growing in window seals . I heard teachers yelling at toddlers and pre-schoolers, shaming them for behaviors normal to their age groups . My credentials include 20+ years as a neonatal registered nurse specializing in neonatal intensive care, special care nursery, newborn nursery, mother/baby, high-risk OB and pediatrics. I retired in good standing from Vanderbilt University Medical as a high-risk OB in 2011. Currently I am employed as a nanny for three special needs toddlers. I would highly recommend parents avoid this place at all costs. I worked at two excellent day cares after retiring and this place doesnt even come. I left both of those day cares in good standing and am eligible a for rehire at both of those day cares, I.e. active Learning Center in Bellevue and Central Pikedaycare in Hermitage.

The teacher isnt equipped to handle children who dont get along. Her comments are rude and abrupt to the parents and guardians when speaking about the child, and not only does she make these comments in front of the child being spoken about, she does so in front of ALL of the children in the classroom. (As soon as I walk in the room to pick her up, I am approached by multiple children - including the child she doesnt get along with - who want to tell me everything she did wrong that day. The teacher says NOTHING to the other children. This is embarrassing to me and to my child.) In addition, the food they serve on many occasions is not the typical food you would serve a preschooler (such as cheesy chicken over rice, etc.). And they will not allow you to bring lunch for your child who is a picky eater, so many days my child goes without food for the entire day.

We were more than pleased with our experience at Hendersonville Kindercare. That came to a quick end when they called DCS and made false accusations about my child and our family. Absolutely disgusts me and no professional should make a joke about situations like that.
