My wife and I ate here several times, before leaving this review. To date, we have had the fried chicken (huge, skinless and best crunchy batter Ive had), meatloaf (excellent), country fried steak (loved it) and several broiled talapia fish entrées (Greek and parmesan crusted) that were incredible. I have yet to try the catfish, but it looks great and is large pieces, plus they have all you can eat on Fridays. The veggies are all good and change daily. Other than one visit, the portions were big. The yeast rolls will melt in your mouth, but the cornbread (Mexican and regular) while good, is a bit overdone and hard and not hot. As for the staff, you wont find friendlier or more helpful. They smile, check on you constantly and even brought fresh baked cookies to the table. The atmosphere has been described as plain, but I disagree. The atmosphere is very homey and we love that. So, to sum up, YES ! I highly recommend Our Place Cafe and can see why it won "Best in Sumner County" awards. (Open M-F for Lunch and Dinner until 8pm)

Our Place Cafe catered the meal for my daughters wedding last weekend. They were amazing!! We often go in and eat for lunch and have always had great food with great service with this being said I shouldnt be surprised by their onsite catering being just as good and friendly. All of our family and friends commented on the good food served to them with a smile. We even did our rehearsal dinner there. Gave them a call when we were on the way, walked in to the table being set up and ready to go. This really wasnt a planned thing, they just do whatever it takes to give great customer service. Our Place 5 stars in my book. One more daughter to get married and I know who I will be calling! Thanks to all of the staff at Our Place Cafe!!

Ive got one word for this place: unremarkable. I dont eat here very often because they dont take credit cards, and like a lot of people, I dont carry a lot of cash. The menu is very limited, but what they do serve is very good, but it can quickly get expensive. They do have waitresses, but no one waited on me on my visits. I also noticed they were very friendly to departing customers, except myself when I went to leave. As well liked as the place is, I didnt see anything to make me want to go back.

The staff was super friendly but the food was below average. I feel bad because everyone was so nice but the ratings are deceptive. My greens were only stems and I couldnt eat them. Anyone that cooks know that these should be picked. Maybe if I ate in my experience would have been better with other selections. Like I said everyone was very warm and friendly. The food just needs a little tweaking.

We have eaten at this cafe several times. However, the portions get smaller and smaller. You get more food for your money other places. The vegetables are all just canned, yet they give a very small amount. Mu husband asked for more gravy with his chicken (just can of chicken soup diluted) and you would have thought we asked for a filet mignon!! We have not been back.

Had lunch there today for the first time and really enjoyed it! Food and service were both great!! I had the chicken and rice casserole with Lima beans, mashed potatoes, and jalapeño cornbread and my husband had the catfish, hush puppies, white beans, and collard greens. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was bc there was a hair in my casserole.

We love the small town feel and great southern food at Our Place Cafe. Joe and his staff have never met a stranger. Everyone is always so friendly and good service is at the forefront. The food offerings are always plentiful and we have never had a bad experience.

We eat here almost every day. The food is fabulous! We are always greeted with smiling faces. The owner and staff are always friendly and the service is great. If you have not been here then you need to try it out. You will not be disappointed. We love "Our Place"!

A solid meat and 3 option. Food is good and everyone seems to be helpful and friendly. Cant complain about the fresh baked cookies they bring around while you eat. Cash only is an inconvenience but it seems to be worth it.
