This place is amazing. I came by in the morning on a Sunday, not realising the day. They obviously werent open. As I sat on my phone trying to find another place that was open when the owner showed up, told me to come back after work and hed give me a haircut. I came back after I got off, and he opened the store up just for me and gave me an amazing haircut. Ive been going to this shop for the past two months or so, but this place and the service it provides takes the cake. Highly recommended.

I cant say enough good things about my experience at Old Tyme Barber Shop. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with friendliness from David and his staff. There is complimentary water and coffee along with a big screen TV for viewing while you wait your turn. The hair cut experience is awesome. My barber, David, knows exactly what I want in hair style and continues to impress me with his skill. Glad I found a barber shop I can rely on and never disappoints.

When I saw Old Tyme I was expecting somebody who was the master of their craft, especially since I saw these reviews (albeit 2007). What should have tipped me off was the excessive use of clippers and blending shears. I had to go back and get my haircut fixed. Cheap for $10.00 and she is one of the last barbers to handle a straight edge. She did a fine job with that. However, I think I will look elsewhere if I am getting more than my neck shaved.

Hands down one of the best places to get your haircut in north Texas. David and the team at Old Tyme Barbershop set a standard for the quality of their work and services they provide their customers. Im willing to travel a bit far for a haircut. They do a pretty good job but I seriously cant stand the fact that I made an appointment and I had to wait over 1 hour. This happened twice because I do believe in 2nd chances. David - you do a great job but seriously... I call you and to confirm a time. Make me wait over an hour. I even asked you are you sure 10:30 am works? Dont waste my time...

Best barber shop in town. I have been coming here ever since David took over the shop. I told all my friends at UTA to try it out and now all of them come here as well. Recently, I got married and David and his crew cut all my groomsmen’s hair and had us looking clean for the wedding. If you try it out, you will not be disappointed. David and his crew truly care about their customers.

Owner realized he was incompetent in the style I requested half way through. Demanded full 20$ cash price when I have paid 15$ card every time in the past 10 months. Allowed me to leave to leave to get cash and recommended a nearby ATM about ten minutes round-trip. Owner immediately called, left VM and text me threatening to call cops unless I returned in the next five minutes.

He takes the time to go the extra mile in taking care of his customers. A legit customer service establishment. The shop has a great welcoming touch to it. Best haircut since I got out of the Corps! I travel a lot, so letting a stranger cut my hair always makes me nervous. David (I think) delivered big time, trimmed my beard a all. If your from out of town a need a cut this is the place. The atmosphere is great too, everyone shooting the breeze like we were old friend. If there is a wait, its worth it!

Above average barbershop! Great atmosphere and experienced barbers with great attention to detail makes this shop stand out above the rest and I havent even mentioned the great prices that you cant find anywhere! They do clean fades and excellent beard trims with straight razor, come check it out you wont be disappointed!

I just went there today and the place is under new owners, the last owners retired, they did a remodeling, got rid or some pictures and put a great looking sign inside the building. The 10 dollars cuts are gone but you can expect great service from the new personel. Y tambien hablan espanol!!!
