Was looking for barber shops in the Garland area, found Str8 Choppin, read the reviews and decided to call. Owner of the shop (Big Jay) answered and was very helpful, visited a hour later and only had to wait about 15 minutes to get in the chair. Big Jay is very friendly and courteous to customers, and has a very clean well kept shop. Had me in and out very fast, with a crisp clean bald fade. Plus he offers a free haircut after 5 visits so I will definitely do business with him again

This shop was amazing first time customer didnt know whether I was getting a shape up or a hair cut. After seeing four or five people go ahead of me with every single one of theyre hair cuts looking fresh I had made my decision to just get a fresh cut for my son and me. Havent had a great hair cut since I left New Jersey. I live in Amarillo now. Came to Dallas for minor vacation. If this city wasnt five hours away Id be in this barber shop on the regular.

Ive been looking for a decent barber in the Dallas Metro for 12 years. Im quite picky, but man ... I got nothing on Big Jay. Great dude, great haircut, great atmosphere, great conversations, just over all a great experience. Its good to finally find someone who can do business right. Please check him out and give a review.

Very nice shop super clean...Good movies to watch while you wait..super cool guy good sense of humor and gave me a super nice cut...He brought me back to life with those clippers..I will definitely keep going back for my cuts..I strongly recommended Big Jay and his shop to anyone looking for a good cut nice atmosphere.

Jay is the man very reachable via phone/text no bs no stories with 15 other people when he is lining you up. Best to set up an appointment before walking in. Have been heading there for the past month after my other barber messed me up. No complaints!
