I would like to say that our experience here at Creative Minds Frisco has been a positive one but it hasnt. To start - our son isnt a sit still type of 4yr old. He doesnt nap regularly and has had a hard time transitioning. He isnt the most perfectly behaved child but is very sweet and bright. He loves to be active and has a hard time winding down or being forced to sit still at nap time. He has grown out of daily 2 hour or more naps as many preschool kids do. That being said, this center will sell you on how they are perfect for a child like him. They know exactly how to work with him and help him. They seemingly understood and were different from traditional corporate child care centers. That is where it ends. Do not believe the fake employee written reviews and reviews from parents whose kids are not even at the school. I see more than 4-5 reviews on different sites and social media from parents with kids my childs age who are 100% not even at the school. The director Debby is abrasive and aggressive and is quick to yell and scream and even slam her fists down on a desk if questioned. This was her ACTUAL REACTION to my questioning her on why my son was sent home sick the day before when IN FACT he was NOT SICK. No fever, no multiple bowl movements, no puking. Nothing... So obviously I was confused on why they sent him home and why when we walked in the next morning I was asked "why is he here?". I was pulled into her office after explaining that he wasnt sick per our Dr., nor did he have symptoms. I asked why would they do that the day before and make him sound unwelcome now the next morning when he clearly wasn’t sick. She blew up. Completed blew up. I immediately stood up and asked to speak to the owner. How dare she aggressively approach a customer and parent who had been nothing but calm and simply asking what was going on an very well had the right to. She immediately freaked out and apologized profusely and claimed that she “is just so passionate”. She denied to provide me the owner contact info, even an email address. After speaking with him and being told she was out of line she proceeded to apologize again and feed me the "just so passionate" line again. She then began crying and running up and down the halls acting busy while I spoke to the owner in depth for 10 minutes or more. He is a simple but smart guy, but doesn’t know the first thing about child care or child care regulations. He assured me that she was out of line and to not file a report or write reviews. They even (I have in writing) offered to give my son a free week with no charge or fees and to please, please, let this go. In reality they still charged my CC the full weekly amount and gave lip service about why and again apologized. We watch the cameras most of the day, our son has participated and has only needed true one on one time during nap time for the past two weeks. Whenever you cannot see him on a camera. He is upfront or in Debbys office which has only been at nap time maybe twice in two weeks. Any other time you can see him doing an alternative activity. They have been reported x2 and are under investigation. If The director who is "just so passionate" can slam her fist down and scream like some Jerry Springer episode over a simple question - imagine how the "playing bad cop", that she willingly brags about doing, is being viewed and absorbed by your children. My child, who is clearly trying very hard is being praised by his teachers daily for two weeks, and who lights up to tell you how "I had a great day" "I was a good boy" is being punished and will be replaced by a child that will pay same tuition and will nap for 2 hours while and be more perfect. I have emails. I have Watcmegrow and I have daily Tadpoles reports for two weeks of praise and great positive documentation and daily conversations about progress from his teachers yet he will be kicked out over nap time one on one attention and greedy, grimy, mentality that is being promoted here by leadership.

Dallas, we have a MAJOR problem. 3 directors and countless teachers have been in and out of this school in the 7 months that is has been open. As a current parent, I can say that the issue is top down, the owners are the source. Placing your children in child care is a tough and extremely important decision. It is often one that comes with many nights of lost sleep and concern over whether youve made the right decision or not in exposing your child(ren) to strangers who promise that they care and are qualified. The first director seemed overwhelmed and after a rough interaction with a parent, had a breakdown and decided to leave to pursue her own business. Very little notice received, moving on. The second director was phenomenal with the kids and staff, and was often seen interacting with everyone in the classrooms. She had a very positive demeanor every time that I saw her by popping in, viewing the cameras, or at the end of the day, and I along with other parents felt a sigh of relief with her at the helm. Well, parents received notice on this past Friday via Tadpoles that she was "resigning" effective immediately. In that same note, she introduced her replacement. Something is fishy. She was always very vocal with her plans for the school and was not at all the type to up and leave. We parents know that the owners are upset bc enrollment in the summer is down and they asked her to leave. HUGE mistake and poor business decision on their behalf. Duh, its the summer, not her fault that people vacation. I certainly wouldnt pay for child care if I was on vacation. **Mind you, the owners created the policy that allows you to dis enroll your child without providing ANY notice, its in the handbook.** The second director was the reason that I chose Creative Minds over another school, and the owners reasoning and shady method of terming her, thereby causing turmoil in the school among the staff and students, is the reason we and others are leaving. Her replacement didnt bother to introduce herself until days after starting, via Tadpoles, not in person. She didnt even bother to introduce herself to all of the staff on the first day. She has bad mouthed the prior director and the owners, but hasnt clearly articulated what she can* do, even when asked. She answers that she has "35-40 years experience." Bad signs. The staff is unhappy. In turn, the kids are unhappy. The owners do not have a good handle on their school - business or customer service wise. They have no clear vision of what a director of a child care facility should embody. There are too many other options out there to stay here where the owners show no desire to maintain a sense of security of happy and qualified staff, or desire to weather the summer in the interest of whats best for the children who are enrolled (and in turn, their business). The numbers will continue to plummet, thats staff and children.

Sending my child here has been the worst childcare experience ever. I should have gotten a clue when the 2nd director we saw while we were there "resigned" but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I know this is a new school but it seems like no one at that school has a clue how to run a daycare. Our tuition was raised twice since we started even though we were promised to "lock in" a price during our tour. And I know for certain that they offered part-time and half days but when I inquired about it for the summer (to save money) it wasnt offered anymore. Okay, but there are still children that come part time and half days. Maybe they "locked it in" What a JOKE! Also, I was charged twice for one week at least 3 different times. When I asked the assistant director about it I was told it would be taken care of. Its funny how they are quick to take out the money but take WEEKS to get any sort of refund! I have seen at least 7 new teachers in that building, several staff leaving and quitting and the ones who are there look miserable! I was excited that they had cameras in the building so we can watch our child but that turned out to be a mess as well. My child was moved from class to class, mainly due to shortage of staff or to accommodate lunch breaks and I had no access to those cameras. I asked if I could have access to all the cameras in classrooms where my child would be and I was told it wouldnt happen again so I wasnt granted access. NOT to my surprise my child was moved again and I had no access to the cameras. Also, thank GOD my child doesnt have food allergies. All I asked if for my child to get water instead of milk, I even sent a water cup and I cant count the number of times he was given milk and the water cup was left untouched. Every time I picked my child up they would beg for water in the car. This place is HORRIBLE Do NOT send your child here unless you are DESPERATE and want to WASTE your money. This place is absolutely ridiculous and we wont be back!
