Instructors do not focus on your learning experience, which is the main reason why I went there - to learn and improve. I took hip hop and jazz classes and the experience was the same. The hip hop intro teacher did the choreo very fast and would not go over steps or correct anyone. That was supposed to be an intro and he taught at an advance speed and would not look at students to make sure they were doing movements right, a very self centered method. And the Jazz teacher was very similar. In the class, if four out of the five students are having trouble doing some steps, a good teacher wouldve explained it and at least try to help students to do it- not the case here. Dont know whats with this place that teachers have such a snobby attitude, not inspiring at all neither empathetic. We dance students go there to have fun and learn, its like they forget that at some point in their lives they did not know how to dance either. I felt unmotivated after my last class there because arrogant professors do not inspire. Luckily there are other dance studios in Houston with a more welcoming and inspiring learning environment than this place. I would not recommend this place and wont be wasting more money there. I would love to get my moneyback if I could.

The MET Dance Center is an amazing place for adults to take all levels of dance! I searched everywhere online to find a studio that offered a range of dance classes. Even though I love taking ballet I also wanted to take jazz and tap. No other studio offers as many adult open/drop-in classes as the MET does. The prices are great too, you can even get an 8-week unlimited membership. They have all levels, from Intro to Advanced and everything in between. They also have a full range of childrens classes and professional intensives. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MET DANCE!

The teacher basically told the struggling students not to come or stay at the back of the room if they cant catch up. She said, " You wouldnt wanna waste your money, right?" for the reason why you shouldnt come if you cant catch the speed. That was my first class and will be my last there. She was rude and offensive.

I am in the Hip hop intro class. I would say it is a good workout class instead of an introductory dance class because it doesn’t teach the basic moves or techniques. Although it is fun, it is not necessary to take this intro before taking the regular ones.
