We started to search a daycare when my kid was three years old. After comparing several schools we decided to have our kid attend Joy Child Learning Center. Joy did exceed our expectations on a daycare, and our kid has been attending this learning center for over 2 years. Here are the reasons why we like it, 1. Curriculum: Not only having story time, show and tell, art projects, singing songs and out door activities but they also provide language program which systematically teach children on phonics and writing. Our kid is able to read and write full sentences. Most important is that he is happy that he can read books all by himself. They also teach children some knowledge such as seasons, time on clocks, date/month on calendars, coins, etc. 2. Safe and healthy environment: Food is one of the reasons that we chose Joy in the beginning. We can’t accept our kid having pizza and chicken nuggets every week at the school. Some of the pre-schools that we visited do have these in their lunch menu. Also, they don’t provide plastic utensils and plates for hot food (this is a big plus!), which means they really care the health of the kids. 3. Warm and caring teachers: The director, Ms Cher, would let us know anything happen or what we should pay attention to our kid. You can feel that they do care each of their students. Our kid’s teacher, Ms. Alex, is great. She is patient and very experienced. He likes his teacher very much. 4. Limited TV time: Friday afternoon is the movie time and the only TV time at Joy. We do highly recommend Joy Child Learning Center to our friends who are looking for a good daycare for their kids.

My daughter joined Joy Learning Center at the age of 3 and at the time she spoke a foreign language. I was a little bit skeptical that her needs would not be met due to the language barrier, but the director reassured me that she will be fine and I had nothing to worry about. I’m pleased to say that it took a couple of months and my daughter was fluent in English, she had made a lot of new friends and above all her reading & writing skills were above my expectations. The emphasis on education at the center is exceptional and I’m glad my child got to complete/cover 1st Grade material at the age of 5. My Overall experience with JOY has been positive and to sum it up: - GREAT and FUN Learning Curriculum for all age groups. - Splash days (during summer) and “Show and tell” every Fridays among other fun things to do at school. - Open communication between the Directors/Teachers and Parents. - A safe place to leave your child. - The center is very Clean and sanitized on a daily basis. and THANK GOD it doesn’t have that funky smell that we all dread in other centers !!!! - The teachers are adorable and the kids love them to pieces. I can’t thank Ms.Cher, Ms.Alex and the whole family at JOY for all the work they put in, in bringing up my child from the age of 3. Sadly, tomorrow is her last day at JOY and due to us residing in a different part of town we will try and visit when time permits. So from one parent to another, look no further, you will not regret having your kid at JOY.

I am so thankful to have found Joy! We were looking for a solid Pre-K program for my daughter and we found it here. We started my son and daughter at a local Montessori school believing that was the best way to prepare our kids for kindergarten. My son, who is older, struggled through kindergarten to the point where we considered holding him back. We learned that the Montessori school was just not providing enough structure and challenge to our son. We wanted something better for our daughter and began searching for a new program. We looked at many different places, but we were most impressed with Joy. Not to mention, their pricing is very reasonable and the price includes a healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks made in their own kitchen (a huge bonus!). The place was also always very clean and organized. The teachers truly care about their students and challenge them to succeed. Ms. Alex was great! I was a little unsure at first with all the daily worksheets they had to do and my daughter struggled at first, but after a few months she was learning so much. Im confident my daughter will do great in kindergarten because of this program. She can recognize letters and numbers, knows the sounds that letters make and I believe is right at the brink of learning how to read... she can already recognize some words. And her handwriting is also better than my son whos going into 2nd grade! Also, she has acquired some great listening and social skills. Im glad we found Joy!

When my daughter was 2 it was time to move from home care with her grandmother to a daycare for the experience to grow and learn and socialize with other kids. Like most mothers I do not make the decision of choosing child care easily, nothing but the best would do. I found Joy after doing a lot of research and visiting many centers in the area. I knew Joy was the best place by far after my very first visit and there was no other place I would ever consider again. My daughter has loved the center and everyone there since day one, even when it was hard for me to leave her that day, worried it would be difficult for her to adjust, she just waved and said "Bye Mom" then ran off to play. The teachers are all very loving, patient, attentive and absolutely great with the kids. Its very clean and safe and has a fantastic, structured curriculum that doesnt compare to any other daycare I have ever seen. It has been 3 1/2 years now and my daughter is finally starting kindergarten already knowing how to read and write on a first grade level! My husband and I feel very blessed to have found Joy, Ms. Cher and Mr. Mel and all the wonderful teachers who have helped shape my baby girl into such a smart, well mannered and genuinely happy child. Thankfully we live close by and she will attend the local elementary school so she will most likely be staying at Joy until she is too old to go anymore :-)

I first visited Joy when my kid was 1 and cannot wait to send her in when she hit 1.5 year old. Sending my kid to there is one of the best things happened in our life because this is the center you could fully trusted. We had a very good communication with the faculty, and I dont need to worry too much when my kid was in it. Joy provides a good langauge program to build up a solid fundation for toddlers. My kid does enjoy the time to read and write which helps her having a good habit of reading when she back home. She feels confident to read and play numbers which I believe it will help her a lot in her kindergarden program. Joy doesnt provide too much fast food to kids which is good. I love the idea to have a kitchen for the fresh food prepared to my kid. I would highly recommend this center to all my friends, and appreciate all faculty providing such a good environment to my kid! **** Update**** We received the letter from our ISD that our daughter has been pass a couple exams to be able to attend Gifted and Talented program. My kid is blessed to receive such wonderful education resource from this school, and plus a good learning attitude. Even if my kid already graduated from Joy, we are glad to still connect with this school! It is definitely the best choice we made to my kid!
