First Step Learning Center off of Gilmer Rd is the WORST daycare you could send your children to. When you choose a daycare for your child to go to, you stress and worry about whats going on at all times. So when I say this, I dont take this lightly. This was the first daycare my daughter ever went to, I toured it and met the teachers before deciding to put her there. It was great and we had an awesome several months until her teacher quit because the management and owners do not know how to treat their employees. Obviously because you will ALWAYS see them posting ads on hiring asap! So after our amazing teacher left, they had several different ladies in my childs room which I wasnt comfortable with! For a week she was coming home with several bite marks, bruises and goose eggs on her head that NOBODY could explain. I shook the first couple off because kids are kids and things will get a little rough. But after a full 5 days of her coming home with bite marks and bruises every single day I went OFF like ANY parent would. So I pulled my daughter from that school that Friday and called and messaged the owner several different times before and after pulling my daughter from this school. I told her I refuse to pay them for the 2 week notice before withdrawing. We worked it out and it was fine. Several months lately they texted me saying I was going to be sent to collections unless I paid for those two weeks. I called the office and the front desk lady (her name was Brittany) told me she didnt care and I had to pay it regardless of what I or the owner said then hung up. Was VERY rude and unprofessional. Finally after getting ahold of the owner got it "taken care of." Now they are lying on Facebook saying THEY asked us to leave because I was threatening parents? Lol how ridiculous and stupid. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO FIRST STEP IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM AND THEIR WELL BEING.

My son has been attending First Step since last November and we have just absolutely loved this daycare! With this being our first "daycare" experience, of course I was extremely nervous leaving my son (20 months old) for the first time with anyone other than close relatives. After I met the staff and saw how much he loved playing with his friends and his teachers, I knew that we had made the right choice putting him in daycare. The girls are always so nice and extremely informative, I can tell they genuinely care about the wellbeing of my child and the other children! Definitely recommend this daycare to other mothers!!

I had a really bad experience when my baby was going here. The teachers never knew what they were doing. My child seemed to always be sick and when she was sick no one would call me an let me know anything. If I ever had a question on anything the ladies at the front were ready to feed me lies to keep me comfortable. I would never recommend this daycare

This place is trash. They have roaches and do not clean there kitchen facility properly. They do not watch your kids and will treat them rudely. Not to mention their staff is a bunch of childish immature woman. They are more worried about gossip and drama then they are about your children. I would advise you to not bring your children here.

My daughter has been here a week so far and I love it! Ladies at the front and teachers are very nice. I love that they have security codes at the front door and they send me with a list every day of what she did, what she had for lunch etc. She loves it too!
