If I could give them -5 I would! Unbelievably bad haircut, and TERRIBLE customer service. Last year, I took my husband in to have his hair cut after he grew it out with the idea of donating it, so they had long hair to work with. We told them we wanted something stylish but professional, as he is a therapist and needs to look polished at work. We took time to explain what sort of shape we were going for; my mother was a hairstylist so I know what is and isnt possible, and that hairstylists must work with the characteristics of the hair. We were not asking for the moon, and sure enough months later when the monstrosity had grown out we went to Bijou and they did it perfectly. He walked out with an unholy combination of Emo, Backstreet Boy, 90s Gino, and 1st season Friends. Completely not what we asked, and completely not appropriate for work! I tried to protest once I realized what was happening as my husband depends on me for these things-- he never has any idea what to do with his hair-- and I basically was told by the guy to butt out as he knew my husbands hair better than I did. I was offended, and the guy saw I had a completely horrified look on my face when I saw what he was doing, but did not stop to check in if what he was doing was okay. When your customer is becoming visibly upset and is tearing up, perhaps you should - oh I dont know, CHECK in with them to see if theyre happy with what you are doing?! My husband was humiliated by his haircut and his coworkers were astonished at it. My husband stopped me from calling the manager the next day and tearing a strip off his hide. With those kinds of business practices, its a wonder they are still around.

I first visited David at Andropolis over ten yeas ago. I had made the ill-fated decision to dye my hair blue for the summer before my junior year of high school, and needed professional help to get it back to my natural blonde before classes started. After visiting Andropolis, not only was my hair color more radiant than it had ever been before, but I also received a fantastic cut. A previous review overstated Davids prices by $20 or more. For a cut and style, he charges $60. If you opt out of the styling, he charges $45. If this still seems too much, you can visit one of his other talented stylists for a lower price. I visited Andropolis in my impoverished college days, and was always pleased when visiting stylists other than David. Ive lived all over the country (as well as abroad), and I have never encountered a stylist as adept as David. I have often waited a few extra months between cuts in order to return home to Lubbock and get the perfect haircut from Andropolis. David makes an obvious effort to keep up with current trends in hairstyling, and he has a talent for taking the styles I bring him and modifying them to my face shape and the texture/thickness of my hair. Furthermore, hes friendly, honest, and an overall good guy. For a great cut, color, and experience, try Andropolis. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone.

I moved to Lubbock 2 years ago and had no idea where to go in town for my hair appointments. I tried multiple different salons but now I regularly go to Andropolis. I always leave satisfied. Serina has been my stylist since I came in my first time. She always listens to what I want and speaks to me honestly regarding coloring and caring for my hair. I have been doing balayage and ombre to my hair for some time now and Serina always makes it turn out great. She spends her time making sure it turns out how I requested. David, the salon owner, is on site as well. He helps the girls when they have questions or for more complicated things. Everyone in the salon is super friendly and accommodating! I love that Andropolis offers great quality at a good price. I highly recommend the salon and would definitely recommend Serina for a cut, color, style, etc.!

I absolutely loved this place! I researched all the different salons in town for weeks looking at all of the Google reviews and I can honestly say even the best review didnt do it justice. I had a horrible experience from a high end salon in Fort Worth where I am from and i was in a dire need of a hair pick me up! I called in and Jill answered the phone so politely and work with my schedule to get me in to see her. She listened to exactly what I wanted and told me what she was doing the whole step of the way. She did an amazing job and I am so thankful for her! I have never done a Google review before and I would not even take the time to do one if it wasnt worth it! Ask for Jill !!!!

I recently went in Nov.09, but I got referred by a friend and first went to Andropolis in 2003. I realized I had a real pro on my hands. He made sure he really understood what “I” wanted. I’ve been through many hair phases and have gone to Andropolis through it all. Whether I was getting all-over brunette color, bleached blonde highlights, a layered cut, the latest wavy style or my TTU Homecoming Queen hair styled, they always knew how to do it right. They have also won "best of lubbock" several years in a row and are have been open for 25 years, that is why I visited in the first place. Highly recommended, better quality than expensive big city salons!!!

I love this salon! Most of the stylists are younger females (in their 20s) and I see Jill as my stylist! What I love most about this salon is their open communication during the process. They tell you beforehand what theyre doing to your hair, what products they are using, and make sure youre comfortable throughout the process. Theres nothing worse than a stylist just doing something to your hair without letting you know. Great customer service, clean place, super friendly staff. Love it! For a female with long, brown hair it costs me $55 for a wash, cut, and style plus an eyebrow wax. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Andropolis is a trendy place to get a great haircut. I could tell as soon as I opened the door that I had made the right decision. It was clean, the people were very friendly, and my stylist, Molly W. was confident. I instanly felt at ease when I saw how comfortable she was with the scissors. After growing my hair for four years, I decided to pixie cut it, and I needed someone who would do it right. Well, I have no regrets. I love my new hair. As a side note, Andropolis is very close to Texas Tech, so if youre going during the middle of the day go early to find a parking spot.

I have recently started going to Andropolis and it is absolutely amazing!!! Tara Zysko does my hair and she can do whatever you want. She is really fun and is up to date on the colors and styles. In the past I have had trouble getting the highlights or haircut that I want but since going to Andropolis I have never had that problem. The girls in the salon make it a really fun atmosphere. I would recommended Andropolis to anyone. My hair is in the best shape and their products are amazing. Go to Andropolis. You will not be disappointed.
