I have been going to Lindsay Carthel at Salon E for 3 years now, and I could not trust anyone more with my hair! I know that we sometimes have unrealistic requests, but never have I had a stylist give me EXACTLY what I want when it comes to a cut and color! She seriously knows what shes doing, and shell tell you if a particular cut or color is not going to work with your hair type, rather than just charging you and letting you leave the salon with something you are unhappy with. I have also done Dream Catchers Extensions with her for 2 years, and no one EVER knows that they are extensions. She colors my hair to match them perfectly, and they blend in so well with my real hair. Their prices at Salon E are extremely reasonable when it comes to extensions, and she coaches me on how to take care of them to get as much longevity as I can. Go see her, or anyone else at Salon E if you want someone who really cares about you and your hair!

Horrendous experience. I have had an undecut for about 8 months now, and Ive been to several salons. The person I was scheduled to see had a late client just before me, so someone else took over (I apologize for the lack of names, I only went here once and I am definitely not going back to learn them). She applied way too much pressure and used an extremely cheap buzz razor. I have sensitive skin and I was flinching from the pain. She was very rough and I could tell she was rushing. The design looks awful, even though she said she could do it. I asked for a spiderweb design since it is October, and the two vertical lines are ao close together you can hardly tell the design. Plus, they charged OVER DOUBLE what I used to pay, and I just generally did not feel welcomed there. Also, they did not clean my neck afterwards, so I get to deal with these fine micro-hairs upsetting my already-sensitive skin. I regret my $2 tip.

Ive lived in Nashville, Los Angeles, and Austin and been to many top salons, and Im actually surprised that a salon of this caliber is here in Lubbock! Micheal and all of the stylists there are pros, and totally up to date on all of the current trends and techniques. I went in recently to get balayage done, and my hair was hand brushed to get the desired effect I wanted (no foils!), it was pretty amazing how she was able to do that and create such a natural and beautiful look! Definitely a true artist!! As far as the salon itself, its gorgeous. I love the music they play, Im always offered a drink when I sit down, and everyone there is friendly and laid back. When Im going to get pampered, the atmosphere is really important to me, and if youre the same you wont be disappointed, trust me!

Salon Etincelle is hands down the best salon on Lubbock. Micheal has taken amazing care to make my hair look awesome (if I do say so myself-ha). I consistently get compliments on my hair and disbelief when people find out how old I am. Shes keeping me looking the age I feel instead of my real age. PLUS, they are no BS. If you want something thats gonna look bad Micheal is gonna tell you. I trust her completely! Love them - you can not go wrong here!

Micheal Northcott rocks!!! People are constantly telling me how awesome my hair cut is. I was in fort worth and all of Anthropologie was talking about my hair! Other hairdressers talk about how they want to copy the cut ....Yeah I know, my hair is awesome

Terrible service. Dont schedule two people at the same time and maybe your clients will leave happier. Waited with color on my hair for an hour and 15 min instead of 45 min. Sat with my hair in the sink for 30 min. Not worth $80.
