This is the third bad experience Ive had in Ultas in CO Springs. I was initially introduced to Ulta by a good friend when I lived in Denver. It used to be one of my very favorite places to shop, because all things good were held under one roof. Not anymore. I went to the Cinema Point location after having two bad experiences at the Briargate location... hadnt been in this one, so I thought Id give you guys a chance - one more time. About a month or so ago, while having a bad experience in the Ulta at Briargate, I saw a Poetic Waxing kit. I would have bought it then, but I got so incredibly incensed by the lack of help at that location for a different item, that I left my expensive pile of carefully chosen products on a random shelf in the store. Without a coupon in hand (because it was no longer worth it), I had walked over to Sephora and there became indoctrinated into the Bare Minerals-Virgin Devotees Guide to the World. Which, I was trying to do at Ulta. But, I kept thinking about the waxing kit. So, I went to another location, hoping the experience would be better. I actually just tried to find it myself, but the store was arrayed differently. So, I asked an associate who answered me over her shoulder while walking over to a coworker who was trying to find the perfect red lipstick for herself. The associate did not look for it, did not look it up, just, "we dont carry that." So, I used my phone and found that it was in-stock and in-store. I went to the cashier, hoping to get a different person to assist me - but this same lady came up to a neighboring register and I was her next customer. I showed her the in-stock status and she actually whined out, "I didnt think we carried that". While walking me over to the shelf, the need red-lipstick coworker talked to her the entire way about which was better "the melt" or some other thing... I dont know. I thought she looked pretty awful, but who am I to say. I apparently have unwanted hair to wax. Anyway, the whiny one actually got to the shelf and said, "See we dont have..." and then, "...OOOoooh, we do have it..." while I reached for the box. Another young lady helped us at the check stand and the whiny one brought three sample products to me while saying flatly, "sorry." But wait, theres more! The needy red-lipsticked one showed back up and the two blondes had a lovely conversation about something really important while leaning towards each other over the checkout counter. It was touching. 1.75 oz of unwanted moisturizer doesnt negate the aggravation.

this wa the first time I have used the salon and shopped here and because of this visit, it wont be my last. Not only was my appointment with Kelly spot on and wonderful, but what happened at the register was what made me want to come back. I grabbed face wash and made my way to the register to pay for everything. While I was waiting I noticed the cashier visibly upset but doing well to hold it together. The customer she had was being extremely rude and calling her stupid and commenting very negatively about what she was wearing (which, mind you, was absolutely in code). She continued until the manager came up to help resolve the issue. I was so anxious for this girl because I thought for sure she would be reprimanded for having big breasts and how the shirt fell on well endowed women everywhere. No. This manage very politely and professionally explained that she was well within dress code and wished her a nice day when the customer decided to leave. This speaks VOLUMES. To see management stand behind employees in the face of ignorance is just amazing. It shows the kind of values this store and ,hopefully the company ,has and I must say, I am incredibly pleased. THIS is what brings me back. Good people standing strong for their employees. You have my business.

They had a good selection, however it was impossible to find someone to help me. I needed an opinion on new eye makeup and spent 20 minutes looking around the store. I think they are doing some profiling, because there was a lady in a super cute dress standing next to me who just walked into the store and she was immediately approached by a sales rep, while me, in my casual weekend jeans was completely ignored by everyone else. I get much better service at sephora, so I recommend going there instead. Update: Several months later. No gift card as promised. From the continued bad reviews Im seeing it looks like the customer service at this store hasnt improved either. I sent an email to the corporate site and got a response back within hours and a gift card. Im not sure if I even want to use the gift card at this point, I just hate to think that someone else might be treated the way I was there. Update: I filed a complaint with corporate office and got a very good response from them. From the other reviews I see I think it might be a problem just at this store that needed to be brought to the attention of the corporate offices. I am going to give them one more chance and will update my rating depending on my experience there!

This place is filled with workers who have no idea what they are doing. I went in today to get my free birthday palette. While I was in there a few things caught my eyes. (Now mind you I never ask for help from workers at ULTA because my belief is if your make-up looks horrible you cannot help me at all.) One was a new foundation from bare minerals. I asked one lady for help who stated she knows nothing about bare minerals line and in turn had to locate another worker who had a look on her face as though she had no idea what to do with foundation how to find a shade. I mean she was really looked dumbfounded. Me realizing this I kindly just changed my mind so I didnt end up with the wrong item. And let me not forget that during this whole time I was there one of the workers brought their baby in to show and almost every worker on the floor was huddled around the baby talking and chatting it up not helping anyone. This store is seriously the worst. You could put teenagers in their and they could do better makeup and better customer service. Please someone from ULTA Corporate office GET THIS LOCATION TOGETHER PLEASE!!!!!

Terrible Customer service. Walked in with a need and only due to marketing was I able to fill a bag with a few things to tie up my Christmas list. I was in the store for ten mins without being greeting or approached while the ladies working were socializing and one even cussed very loudly twice during my shopping experience. I walked to cash with my purchase and waited in line with three others. A newer associate ( she mentioned to a customer ahead she had just started recently) she was doing great and seemed friendly but didnt have pace being that she was new. The other FOUR employees proceeded to bounce around the store occasionally putting away items and straightening but mostly being loud and laugh about personal stories. After a twenty min wait both me and my husband (who came in after waiting in the car for so long) put back our purchases and walked out. Extremely disappointed I didnt get what I needed but I refuse to put my money into an establishment where the people could care less about where Im choosing to spend. Wont bother again.
