My father passed away Sunday and its Thursday. His funeral service is today. I was looking up reviews of their service and was surprised by the negativity so I thought Id share my views. I was actually very happy with our contact, Ryan, who was very respectful, direct and honest. We did not feel as though we were being sold anything unnecessary and the procedure went very smoothly. My father is not religious and the funeral home never eve asked us about it. As for the sexism, as his heir and being a female, I had to make the final decisions and I was not treated disrespectfully in any way. My father looked great at his viewing and we were allowed to play the kind of music he liked (classic rock, blues and country), and theyve been open to negotiating the cost of the funeral to an amount more digestible. The process is not yet over, but they have so far met my expectations and made this process very smooth and painless. That is all I can ask for in a time like this. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Jessica Soulliere

I was pleased. The night mom took her last breath the men from kfh came into our home where mom was passing on hospice care. The nurse told me that I could stick around because some people in the business didnt have respect for the deceased. Thankfully they were gentle and compassionate. Being that I have my cosmetology licence, they let me put her socks on and a little makeup. Alive.or not, mom liked to look nice. Furthermore, I asked if I could do her makeup and hair, clothing choices, and, they agreed. I was very upset like most at this point, though, I couldnt bare the thought of her not looking how I remember her. I was so relieved at the open minded people I was working with. I was so impressed by the hospitality that I am enrolling in a school to be in the business. My heart goes out to the great people at Klein funeral home. You all were very professional and respectable.

VERY VERY bad. We, the family got there and were led into a room to sign some paperwork. After that we were asked how we wished to pay for their services. We were told it was $1275.00 but no details. All the funeral home did was pick up our mothers body from her home and bring her to the funeral home. Her body was going to a medical school, so no preparations were allowed by the school. When we went in to view our mother, she was still in her night dress and in the same position she was in when they picked her up the day before. She was presented to us on a metal autopsy table with just a plain white sheet which had been placed on her when they picked her up. The whole thing reeked of "give me the money, we dont care"! I would NOT recommend this place unless you dont care about your loved one and have a lot of money to waste.

Klein Funeral Home will never again handle the services of anyone in my family. I work at a funeral home, and I was appalled to see the ettiquite and mannerisms of some of the employees at this funeral home. They were rude and VERY impatient. They did not treat us with much sympathy. Some of the employees even tried to make jokes when my family was not in the mood to laugh. Also, my uncles body was very messed up. I know the difference between a good and a bad embalming job, and this was not a good one. I never want to see Teddy Klein or any other employee of Klein Funeral Home in Tomball again. If a death occurs in your family in the northwest Houston area, I advise that you do not use any of the Klein Funeral Home locations.

My brother passed 15 days ago and his memorial is this coming Friday. As of this review no notification of his service itinerary has been posted. Each time one of my sisters has called for clarification they were rudely dismissed. My dear brother and his family deserve better treatment than klein Funeral Home has provided and obviously been over compensated for. I only wish my brother and his widow had read your reviews prior to contracting with this establishment. I will be contacting the BBB but most likely after reading your reviews they well aware of the situation at klein Funeral Home. I will make sure anyone who asks my opinion of your company knows my thoughts on the matter. I am not happy.

Pros: They were kind and respectful of our loved ones passing. Professional We received a refund on some services we didnt utilize almost immediately. Cons: Took quite a while just to get to our home to retrieve the body of our loved one. Craig, our Funeral Director was very responsive when we called, and only when I told them how disappointed I was in their follow up did I get a personal call from him on his cell phone. We constantly felt like we were having to chase them down for information or to follow through on items. When youre paying the amount that youre paying for funeral services, your expectations should be higher.

I have to say I was shocked when we visited Klein Funeral Home on Friday 3/22/13. We had just lost our Grandson of 8 months the evening before and went in to plan his funeral. We were turned away, they ask his age and then said they could not plan a funeral till Tuesday the following week. This was a Friday. We ask if any of their other locations could meet with us and they said no not till Tuesday. Addison Funeral Home took us right away and we are very pleased with their quick response and kindness.

Have known of and used Klein Funeral Home for many years. They have taken care of my mother-in-law, my mother and father as well as numerous friends and will take care of my wife and I. Additionally, the treatment that Veterans, Firefighters, Law Enforcement Officers, babies and others receive is a true blessing. Have tried to deal with other funeral homes throughout the Houston area, no one comes close to the care, treatment and pricing of Kleins!

Yes Klein might be the only family owned funeral home on the north side. But atleast the corporate owned funeral homes hire woman as funeral directors, not just as receptionists.... O yea and they tell you what religion you have to be, which is just ridiculous. The family needs to step out of history and into today. Where woman and men are treated equally.
