This was the most incompetent and unprofessional experience of my life. We needed someone to finish painting our townhome because Im having a baby and were running out of time to finish it ourselves. After signing on, the only communication I had was what color of paint I was using and to make sure all my furniture was moved away from the walls. What I wasnt told was: 1. They were going to send two guys, one who asked me how much Spanish I knew (none) because he doesnt speak English very well, and the other one who wasnt in charge and didnt take charge of communication after I clearly was struggling with the other guy. 2. Instead of using paintbrushes and rollers like I had envisioned, they were going to tape off EVERYTHING at once and use a sprayer. 3. That the quote said it would take 3 days starting on a Tuesday, the painters would be late on Tuesday, and stay until the NEXT TUESDAY without doing any work over the weekend. 4. That we would have to pay to live in a hotel for 6 nights because we couldnt be in our house that was taped off and had super strong fumes. 5. That the work would be super shoddy even after we tried explaining that we wanted it done better during the walk through, they were in a SUPER hurry to get out of our house on the last day that they didnt pay attention to any details the whole process. 6. That they would be so messy! They left paint drips all over every surface of my bathrooms! And my kitchen floor. I am still scraping off paint drips weeks later. 7. That they wouldnt take their trash with them. When they left, both our garbage and recycling cans were overflowing with, get this, extra trash left in our garage for us to take care of. And they left the left over paint, which I dont want to deal with getting rid of 5 gallon buckets of differing levels of paint. 8. That they wouldnt do any prep work other than taping off things. They just sprayed right over the dusty shelves in the closet that had cat hair. 9. That if I did reach out to their office to get some help because communicating with the painters directly wasnt working, they would just have the painters call me. We went with these guys even though they were a bit more expensive than another quote because they seemed more professional and we thought, "Wow, theyll get it done in 3 days, and it will be higher quality and a better experience!" We couldnt have been more wrong. Im sure they have some painters working for them that would have done a better job, but the ones we got were just not it in every way. Its just not good business to not explain all the details of the project before you start, they just went upstairs and started working without saying anything. They literally came downstairs on the second day of the job and said, "You cant sleep here tonight because we taped off your bedroom." And we had to scramble to get a hotel. And I had to pull apart what they had taped in order to pack clothes and toiletries. I dont think we would have chosen to work with them if we knew the cost of 6 nights in a hotel would also be factored in. Now I have to touch up their work, clean up their paint drips, and finish throwing away their garbage. I definitely wont be working with them again.

The only reason I gave one star on this review is because you cant post without electing at least one. I have never been so disappointed in a prospective contractor as I have been with Painter1. I have been in touch with KUTV Channel 2s Gephardt, Division of Occupational Licensing (DOPL) for the State of Utah and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) regarding my concerns with this companys practices. Totally unprofessional manner in the way in which my matter has been handled. I contracted Painter1 after obtaining several quotes to paint the exterior of my home here in West Jordan. At first everything was fine, a date was set and my calendar cleared so I could be at home while the work was done. After that all I got was excuses for needed rescheduling (another project was behind, then that project was caught up, then a government job took precedence over my job, then someone called off sick - for three days and the team was tied up with those jobs which put them behind AGAIN - then the power washer was in use at another job and they would need to locate it and wash the home before painting could be done (that happened three times), blah, blah, blah. After constant delays and excuses, I cancelled my job. Now, due to the constant rescheduling and using of my vacation time to cover their needs, I no longer have vacation time this year and will need to paint the home in the future. After not seeing my almost $500.00 deposit hit my bank as a credit, I contacted Painter1 and was told the deposit was non-refundable. In looking over all the quote paperwork, email and text exchanges and listening to voicemails I saved from Painter1, NO WHERE DOES IT STATE THE DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances. In contacting my attorney, he has suggested I exhaust all avenues of resolution before taking this matter to Court - tasks Im completing this week. My recommendation - go with someone/anyone else but Painter1. If for some reason you need to use the Company, I would strongly suggest you get everything in writing and DOCUMENT every time and excuse used in them not performing the work they have promised you - I did and I know it will save me when this matter goes to Court.

The worst experience I have ever had in my life! Everything after the initial quote was a disaster. First-the job was suppose to start on 06/15/2016 and they didnt show up until 06/16/2016 afternoon, with no supplies, no paint. No one even called me that they will be late. There were supposed to be 2 people working on our project(4-5 days they said) - only one person was there, others came and went. The one guy who was there never worked a full day and by next Wednesday 06/22/2016 the job wasnt even a third way done. On top of that this guy Mike (the painter) is very rude, disrespectful and arrogant-I pointed out to him the wall in out bathroom isnt done right-he said its not bad and it is what it is, after pointing out other things to him he said he is leaving because I was looking how he works!!! Are you kidding me??? The last day before I told him to go home and never come back he said to my wife, who pointed out another flaw in his painting, and I quote paint your own damn condo, I am leaving and calling in sick tomorrow. At that point I told him to leave and never come back! They never even finished the project, me and my wife are painting it as I write this. They even attempted to tell me the doors and trims arent included the the quote-I kept the quote and showed it to them-everything was included-they just wanted more money or didnt want to do the job-who knows... I reached to the management on a few occasions only to be told we will look into it... Nobody called, or stop by to check on how things are going, or rather not going...attempted to reach the project manager 3 times and I got no response. When the guy left he took all the supplies with him except for the paint. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my life! If you value your time, money and low blood pressure stay away from this company! There is no management, no responsibility, no accountability and no customer service-its pure chaos and everyone does whatever they feel like doing, whenever they feel like doing it.
