I worked through Ellwood staffing for a brief time with no issues until the last assignment I took at a local bindery. I was given directions to the job and told there would be an electronic timeclock which my ID had been programmed into for me. When I got there at 5:30am to begin working, my ID had NOT been programmed into the timeclock. The shop foreman also said I wasnt scheduled to work that day. I showed him my paperwork and he said that I should go ahead and work for the day and it would be taken care of later. Ellwood later called me saying I had not showed up for work and not bothered to call them about it. So the end result for me is that I was listed as a no call no show in Ellwoods computers, I worked ten hours at the bindery and was never paid for it and Ellwood staffing says its my fault. Today, I called Ellwood to ask them about this and I was told that my record also included a verbal confrontation with the shop foreman at the bindery. That did NOT happen. Perhaps this is because of a dispute between Ellwood and the Bindery, I see how that could be the truth. If thats the case though, Ellwood didnt back me up as a member of their staff, instead they said I was at fault. I was thrown under the wheels, not paid for my work and informed that I was to have no contact with the Bindery. If I were swimming in money, I would talk with an attorney about this. The fact is though, it was an $8 an hour temp position so even if I HAD been paid for my effort, it wouldnt cover the cost of a legal mouth piece. Be prepared for this kind of treatment if you work with Ellwood staffing. ...and if they want to take me to court for this, I have my documents in hand right now including the information handed to me by my Ellwood contact which shows the location, electronic timecard info with logon ID, dates, and times on it, all of which I followed without a flaw.

I havent work with many staffing companies but Elwood was really great. They are very nice and helpful. They called me and asked if I would go to this other job, not what I was looking for, I said yes. I am now hired on with this company and I need to take a test for Excel, I had already done that through Elwood and they just forwarded over to my new company. Even though you dont prefer a job just go with it, it maybe what you are looking for. I want to thank everyone at Elwood for all their hard work in finding me a job. They are wonderful to work with. So thank you Elwood.

I have been with this company for almost a year and they have kept me working and communicate with me very well. I have a very good relationship and they know who I am when I call the office looking for work and when an assignment comes up that fits my skills they call me asking me if I am available. I highly recommend Elwood Staffing to anybody that is looking for a temporary assignment or a temp to hire position.

Wow, when I went here I learned the lesson of true people skills. Also regained faith in humanity. The staff at this branch helped me become who I am today. When I walked in I was broken down with no job and a child to support. These guys helped me find a job that I love and have been successful at. I do give the company credit, for providing a semi decent service, and job,but the pay can and could be better. Even though they place temporary help, thats including myself. The supervision on , the sites can and should more tact, in how they treat their employees, it doesnt matter if you are full-time or temporary help.

This place is shady, the staff in the office is rude, unprofessional and its always lying. Its been almost a month for them to pay me one (1) days of work, and every time I talk to them is a different story. Please be careful when you register for work with them. They expect the best and yet they cant keep up.

They got my son a FANTASTIC job working at a warehouse. He had been struggling to find a place that would give him a chance (he has a troubled past) and Elwood gave him that chance. I cant thank them enough. He is so much happier and was just recently hired on full-time with the warehouse they got him a job at.

Harmony is really rude from Elwood. She gave me a really bad job and I let them know I didnt like the job because it was to much what she told me I was going to be doing for 9.50. She said to keep going to the job and that if I miss a day she was going to stop giving a job . Bad work place!
