Was super excited about starting a fish tank at home for my son and at this point its either drive two hours or buy online because Im DREADING returning to the pet department at the Pick and Shovel. The worse customer service Ive ever had...the woman either were busy trying to close, holding personal conversation, or chatting it up with a customer about who knows what. When I did get their attention(both times after I had been there for at least fifteen minutes and had to look for them) they with much disgust rushed me through their help with plenty of "I dont knows" and probably what would have been dead fish after a week if I hadnt researched having a tank and my particular fish. What amazes me is they dont care if your there or not let alone take the time to find a fish that fits you or your home. They point to what you hope is the right item and resume pretending you are not there. So, after giving it much thought I was going to write some feed back to a manager or at least their website and found there has been as much thought, work, professionalism, customer consideration & understanding, and product knowledge put into the site as whats going on in the pet store. Ive been trying to stay loyal to our local businesses but, I can tell you the few times Ive been in Sticks n Stuff its been enjoyable with exceptional customer service.

Bought 5 fish from the pet store and they died within a few hours after purchase. The ph, temperature, water was all conditioned with start right. Was told that it was our problem that our fish died and we would not get a refund. Were out 30 dollars for those fish. Went up to Walmart bought the same ones for 30 dollars and put them in the same tank and they have been living for several days now. So it was obviously nothing wrong with our tank. Will not be spending any more money in your pet store.

Difficult time with rude and condescending management. I was not granted a full refund for a returned item that I was extremely dissatisfied with. Management claimed that they would not be able to "make their money back" on the item. I found that hard to believe in sight of the dramatic retail mark up. My credit card was refunded and it took a week to actually post.

I have been so disappointed with the lack of customer service each time I go. Either the staff is too busy with their personal conversations or, they cant find or dont know how to help. If you see someone searching ask them if assistance is needed. If you dont know let the customer know you will get someone who can.

GREAT STORE never had a problem if they dont have it the older experienced sales staff will point you in the right direction. I stress this tough if you need help with some thing other than loading your vehicle talk to the older staff members the kids cant help you

Great store, staff always willing to help, attached laundry mat accessibility. Pet shop needs some attention, the help with animals was not as apparent, not much assistance. I really enjoy the variety of services, and choices of products available. Thank you!

Great customer service; wide selection of items; only pet shop in the area (SO FUN!) Local attraction: Ice Cream at Tim & Dougs (served here) and then walking through the Pet Shop to check out the animals (with your ice cream).

Always helpful staff and only rarely I do not find what I need. I really like the bulk ordering of nails and screws and the vast inventory of other products.
