J. Montes and his team are great and I would highly recommend them to anyone searching for a roofing contractor. We did a lot of research before deciding on J. Montes Inc. Mr. Montes came out within a day or two of my inquiry call to do our estimate. We were not able to be there during the inspection, so he left a packet for us to review. We were given all the information we needed to make an informed decision and the estimate was clear, concise, and lower than the competitors. The service was great but ultimately, the difference in price convinced us to stop "searching," and schedule an appointment. The appointment was set for roughly two days later. The day prior to the appointment, the shingles were delivered and placed on the roof, and the dumpster was placed in our driveway. Neither delivery inconvenienced us at all as the crew just stopped by, did what they needed to do, and left without ever ringing the doorbell or speaking with us. (This may bother some people, guys getting up on your roof without you knowing whats going on, but it did not bother us at all.) In fact, I liked how prepared they were and was actually surprised to see how on top of things they were. The next day, the crew arrived around 6am and got started working; again, without ever speaking with us. Of course we woke up when the hammering started. :) The crew worked tirelessly until they finished around 5pm. (The same day.) Mid-morning, the project manager stopped by to check on things and to introduce himself and Mr. J. Montes stopped by near the end of the day. We appreciated this and felt like it was great customer service. The team did a wonderful job cleaning up and weve only found about 5 nails since the job was completed. (This was while using a magnet before mowing the lawn.) We also have a pool and the team did a great job covering it to prevent debris from falling in. We think the roof looks great, and we have been very satisfied with the work that was done and the service we received. The only complaint (opportunity for improvement) I have was that they did not move my flower pots from the driveway before backing the dumpster in, and my lilies were smashed, causing them not to flower this year. :( However, Im hoping for growth next year, and Id much rather have the new roof. :) Needless to say, we were very satisfied and they certainly deserved their 5 star rating.

We just had our roof replaced with Jon and his crew this past week. WOW. All we could say is FANTASTIC... He told us when his crew would be there and they showed up ready to work. We have a 3200 sq home that needed a roof and we thought it would take a week. He has a rather large crew and let me tell you it was fantastic. They have a great routine, they have tarps all around the ground of our home and the crew has people taking off shingles on the roof another crew member at the edge of the roof catching what is sliding down the roof line and then it is tossed in on the tarp where there is crew members taking it away quickly to the trash trailer. It was great team work. As it was nearing the end of the tare off the truck arrived with all the supplies and the backing paper and water barriers were being applied. They had team members all over the roof working in sync. One would be at the top where the supplies would be, he would slide one single down to a person in the center who would then pass to the bottom edge where another team member would start the strip and put it down. They would put 6 to 8 nails in each shingle. Believe me I watched. There were teams at all different places around my roof doing the same task. It was amazing to see this all come together in ONE DAY. My wife and I were shocked to see the entire old roof taken off, the roof prepped, new collars installed, painted all the collars to match the roof color, put down the weather barrier and then shingle. IT IS AMAZING. The clean up was just as efficient. Due to daylight in January last week it started getting darker so the crew cleaned up everything, blew down the roof, gutters, driveway, walkways and checked in with us to let us know they would be back first thing the next morning.. SURE ENOUGH they were back at 6:45am the next day to finish my shed roof. Once all was completed they took large magnets and ran them all around the house on the ground to capture any nails that might have strayed. We were very impressed with Jon and his crew. Great Job. Why choose Jon Montes over another roofing company? Ill be honest with you, when I began searching for a roofer, I had no idea where to go or who to trust. I wanted a quality roofer who took pride in his work, someone who would do a good job at a fair price. -and so, with earnest prayers and on a shoestring budget I set out, hoping for the best, preparing for the worst, all the while asking God to lead me in the right direction. After all, I was going to give my hard-earned money to someone and I wanted to make sure that particular "someone" wasnt going to rob me blind. As it turned out, my faith was well-placed. Not only did Jon and his crew live up to the stellar reviews, they did a lot of extras. Jon and his team ripped off the old roof down to the rafters. They sistered and repaired damages to the underlying structure, replaced all the plywood, upgraded the shingles and sent pics throughout the day, as I was unable to be on-site during the install. Jon Montes is trustworthy and honest. He even offered to eat the cost of a miscalculation made during the initial estimate. Ultimately, the agreed-upon price came out lower than I expected and well within my budget. The final product is absolutely beautiful.
