Very disappointed! I read some good reviews and figured wed give them a try because we moved over near Central Park. I took my 12 year old son in for a haircut. There were only two barbers working...a man and a lady. While waiting I asked if they did straight razor shaves and the lady said yes. So, I decided to get my head and face shaved...mostly because I love the hot shave cream and towel and find it relaxing. I had the male barber take my son since, like my son, he was black and I figured hed have plenty of experience with his type of hair. The lady begins to shave my head with an electric razor! Im sitting there thinking "did she hear me say straight razor". Then just when I was really beginning to wonder what she was doing she covers my head with a cold, wet towel. Then she applied cold shave cream to my face and head and proceeded to shave me with the straight razor. My sons hair looked okay, but his lines werent nearly as clean as his usual barber at Kingdom Cutz....the guy never used a razor to define his lines. When we got home I checked my head and found that their "professional" shave had left more stubble than my home shave and a completely missed section on my head. I also checked my sons cut and found that the gentleman had completely missed cleaning up over his right ear...long hairs and no line. So, I took out my clippers and fixed my sons hair, then took a shower and shaved my head and beard with my Gillette Pr Fusion razor, which gave me a much better shave than the Barber Shop & Co.! Im not sure where the good reviews of this place came from, but my experience was very different...and I dont usually write reviews or complain about bad service. Maybe they have other barbers that do a better job, but I wont be going back and risking waisting more money!

It would be nice if a barber tells you they cant do a high and tight before they attempt it. In my day a high and tight was barber 101. Took my son in and got the worst most crooked high and tight I have ever seen from Linda. I have had a high and tight ever since I was in the military so I know a good high and tight. We have just recently moved to Virginia so we didnt know were to go but this place is definitely not the place. Took my son to another "barber"and they couldnt fix it so I took him home and shaved his head. Is it really this hard to find a true barber.

Barber here didnt listen at all. "Leave sideburns", Im pretty sure means dont cut my damn sideburns off. Taper cut became a same length cut all over my head. All my hair on the top is now gone. I dont have high hair standards as I wear a hat 90% of the time, but this place really stinks..... I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Take my sons here all the time. They do a great job and are always very nice. Both Ricardo and Linda are great! They take their time but are quick enough that my kids arent bored and antsy.
