Similar to what the guy said below wish I listened. When I walked in an argument was going on between a male and female barber. She waved me over and I was skeptical but it was too awkward to turn around and leave. The lady turned out to be super nice to me which is why I gave this 2 stars but the rest was really bad. I made sure they took card as payment before starting and she assured me they did. Then asked for a simple haircut, short on the sides and just fix up the top and thin it out with some shears. She proceeded to take an hour buzzing the same spots over and over until my head was raw. Then she just buzzed the top right off no warning and I broke into a sweat but the damage was done. At the end she informed me they dont take card but I could run across the street in the rain to the dollar store to get cash back! Wow thats exactly what I wanted to do! The haircut looked ok but not what I wanted and in the past week has grown out uneven and I had to maintain it myself. I wear a hat anytime in public waiting for it to grow back.

First time I went here I got a pretty good hair cut with no wait time, however the simple hair cut did take close to an hour, I went back a second time just to give them another shot. Once again no wait time to be seated but this is experience was not as nice. Before my hair cut one of the head guys was talking to the guy that was about to cut my hair about how bad he had messed up the previous persons hair and they got into an argument right in front of me. After that awkwardness my barber did really talk to me just mumbled under his breath about how he didnt mess up the hair cut. He seemed upset and he took it out on my head, when trimming about my ears he gouged me multiple times, it was bad enough that my girlfriend noticed scabs around both ears. Once again the hair cut took close to an hour and wasnt as good, pretty uneven over all. I wont be giving this place a third try.

Good thing is there really is no wait. Now I understand why. I walk in and 4 people point fingers at each other to decide who will be forced to do the laborious task of cutting someones hair. The guy who drew the short straw looked confused when I asked for him to use scissors not clippers, which he started out right, but then kept cutting. Eventually ending up with hair as short as if he used a 2 with clippers. Still it was still noticeably uneven by the end. I suspect that they dont have a card reader, or it must still be down from over 3 months ago as stated by a previous review. When I got home I noticed the full extent of the damage and that he neglected to trim my neck line. This has been the worst haircut experience I have ever had.

Two stars for good haircuts on two visits, but bad impression at the end of the second visit. Woman barber on the back right barber chair lied about not having change for $20 (probably the same woman barber mentioned in a review below) on the second visit. Ended up having to give $20 for a $15 cut after waiting 30 - 40 minutes to get a cut with no one in the shop. If you visit here, have the exact haircut cost on hand and get there early.

They refused service to myself and my service dog, a registered and certified service animal. I only wanted a haircut. As soon as I walked in the owner was extremely rude and wouldnt even allow me to show him my dogs credentials. I explained that my dog and I were protected under ADA and he said he did not care. As an active duty service member in uniform when this happened, I was very disappointed.

Went here 3 times and on the third visit I had a lady in the back who gave me a basic high fade. The haircut was ok but the price for a haircut was $15. Instead she told me that it was $23 which was $8 more than what they have it listed as. Felt super ripped off after that and never going back again.

Recently moved to Portsmouth and stumbled upon this outstanding shop. Recently opened, they have a great facility with wifi internet. Very relaxed atmosphere. The staff was great and cared about their job. Would recommend to anyone and will go again.
