There are no words to describe how incredibly grateful I am for the Emily Weddings team. Meghan was incredible during the entire planning process, had lots of tips and advice and kept me on track with a few quick meetings and a REALLY detailed check list, but that is nothing compared to her work (and that of her teammates) the weekend of my wedding. The week of my wedding, a Tropical Storm started working its way up the coast, and I came to the realization that the outdoor ceremony I had planned probably would not happen. We had already secured a rain location for the ceremony, and made the rain call about 12 hours before the wedding. The EWT had a rain timeline all prepared and they contacted ALL my vendors while I focused on getting ready and taking pictures with my husband and the bridal party. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me, the rental company had called to notify my venue that their tents could not be used due to the wind conditions. As we finished pictures, and went to the ceremony, members of the EWT and my venue coordinator completely reorganized my reception to account for the space we lost when the tents were removed. They repurposed all my decorations, moved things around, and made it work, and… it was BEAUTIFUL. I didn’t even know about the tents and all the necessary changes until I arrived at the reception. I know some brides, especially those who are like me and want/have a lot of input into their big day, are looking at this and thinking walking into the reception and having it be different than planned would be difficult. I’m not going to lie, it was a surprise, but the EWT is professional and they did a GREAT job. The night was still perfect in my eyes, and if you know me and my Type A, planner personality, that is really amazing. I cannot imagine what I would have done without them. There is no way I would have been able to save the reception without them. There is no way I or my mom could have gone out to the venue to reorganize the tables and decide where the dance floor and cake display and all of that would have been. As awesome as my venue coordinator is, she wouldn’t have been able to do all of that alone, either. So, long story short… when the worst happens, these are the girls you want to have in your corner, because they make the best out of anything!

Where do I start? I honestly cannot imagine my wedding day being as memorable, beautiful, stress-free and intimate without the help of Emily Weddings. The entire team is absolutely incredible. Although I never imagined being a bride with a team of wedding planners, I cannot even begin to tell you what a tremendous weight was lifted off my shoulders from the moment I signed into a partial planning contract with Emily. Any question I had or recommendation that I needed, Emily was immediately there with the best ideas that not only fit my budget, but fit my husband and I’s personalities as well! Let me tell you about the day of the wedding…I did not have to worry about ANYTHING. I had a relaxing morning, got my hair and makeup done, put on my dress, and showed up! The entire day was flawless, and it was honestly all because of the Emily Weddings team. Anything that I needed they immediately took care of. The most incredible moment, which I’ll remember forever, is getting to see my sister and 5 day old nephew (who couldn’t make the wedding) on one of the planner’s Ipads as I was walking down the aisle. Before the wedding, my Dad was having trouble setting up Skype on his laptop…one of the planners immediately offered to use her iPad and FaceTime the entire night with my sister. It was the most beautiful and caring act that my family could’ve ever asked for. The incredible part about this, and all of the other things that Emily’s team went out of their way to do, is that none of this is required or in their job description! They truly just love their job, and they love making each bride’s wedding day absolutely perfect. You can’t even describe the love and care that they put into ever moment of the event. I cannot thank them enough for making my day so unforgettable!

I always knew I would hire a wedding planner. After having helped so many friends plan, coordinate, and execute their “special day” and seeing how stressed and worried they were, I knew wedding planning wasn’t for me. Your wedding day is supposed to be the “BEST DAY EVER” and for me, thanks to Emily Weddings, IT WAS! When I was first looking for a wedding planner, I interviewed a few who offered various levels of services. From the moment I met with Emily and Brittany of Emily Weddings, we just clicked. I could sense right away that they shared my vision and I knew they would provide just the right level of personalization and professionalism. At every step in the planning process they were there to provide sample vendors, review contracts and let me decide what level of involvement I wanted. I knew they would be there all in all the time, if that’s what I needed. I got everything set-up, picked-out and semi confirmed and then I was completely hands off the last two weeks before my wedding day. I could rest in the assurance that had everything taken care of. My mother shared my confidence in the team. Having been an event planner herself, she said it was a breath of fresh air to be hands-off and enjoy the day versus worrying about each detail. One of the greatest benefits was having the Emily Weddings team take charge of the wedding guests and the wedding party. They offered guidance throughout the day on where to be and when to be there. “Look for a ninja” was a common phrase used by the bridal party since the Emily Weddings team wore all black and talked on headsets. It was awesome! I could go on all day about how fantastic Emily Weddings is. But instead, I highly recommend you hire them yourself. They will make your special day truly magical!

Deciding to have Emily be my coordinator was by far the best decision I made while planning my wedding. Because I was planning my wedding from Charlotte, NC and I hadnt ever planned a wedding before, it was great having someone in the business who could make vendor recommendations, attend appointments, and give advice. She was always available for questions and made suggestions when asked. When it came time for the wedding the biggest thing she provided me was relaxation. I was able to give her all of our wedding supplies and decor the Thursday before the wedding. Once I handed it over to her, I was finally able to relax and enjoy family and friends until the wedding day. On the wedding day her and her staff were on top of it. I was actually able to live in the moment instead of glancing at the clock to see if we were on schedule. Every little detail was set up exactly as I had imagined even though they only had a little over an hour to set up. Even my parents and in-laws were able to enjoy the night as her staff loaded all of our gifts and decor at the end of the night. Ill be honest, our family did not think that hiring a coordinator was necessary because they thought they could do it themselves and it was a waste of money. Because I did not want my family working on our wedding day I insisted that I hire someone. The day after our wedding my mom came up to me and apologized for doubting me and said that having Emily there was by far the best investment. It was great marrying the man of my dreams and actually being able to remember and enjoy it without all of the added stress. You can never relive your wedding day so thank you to the Emily Weddings Team for an unforgettable night!
