I have an old Honda, as in, its legally an adult; I have little desire to replace it and prefer to maintain it for as long as that makes sense for both my budget and my safety. As a result, Ive found not all auto service places are created equal in terms of how they treat/invest in older vehicles. Good Neighbor consistently has shown that they respect older cars and their owners. Ive been going here for a few years now, in addition to threregular other unnamed local places for auto work. I used to just go to GN for oil changes and the complimentary inspections that came with them, but now they straight up have my business, including last summer when I had them do all the urgent work done on my car that got the "check engine" light going off and on for over a year...that other places couldnt quite fix. Quickish list why: -One auto shop, often touted as being one of "the best" in the area by votes, completely mishandled expensive EGR replacement and cleaning work that GN finally made right and for less money (see above, it was one of the issues). -The PDF report after each inspection emailed afterward is thorough and helpful. Not all auto places do this, or as well, including the one that I thought had the best reputation for Japanese cars (and failed to send information not only to me but to its other chains, and didnt follow up even after two customer service complaints). -The complimentary inspection is thorough. Even with just an oil change, after I leave, I can trust Im leaving in a safe car. -Every time I go in I always see them working on older cars, when some places have actually turned me away because they didnt think it was worth anyones time (their words). Clearly not this place! Thanks for showing love to the less-than-flashy vehicles on the road! -I can go in here by myself as a young female and can trust that the employees will handle work on my care with the same respectopic, honesty, and diligence they would give anyone else.

Have used Firestone and Midas for routine maintenance and small repairs in the area and while generally satisfied, I read reviews of this Goodyear (actual name of the shop is GoodNeighbor), I gave them a call and spoke to Russ who said bring it in. My 2007 Caddy CTS V was dead; put in a new battery day before and turned fine but engine repeatedly caught only for a moment and would then die. Also had two flashers out, both front and back AND needed an oil change (6 L full synthetic). Russ, I think the shop manager, very amicable and provided excellent customer service. After delivering my car towed (Special Interest towing of Kent; review pending), Russ immediately gave me $15 discount between a $10 coupon for oil change and simply mentioning Yelp placard they had right there at the front counter with assurance I would be writing a review on their service ;) Oil change plus filter was $54.99 which was 20-25 dollars cheaper than last few times Ive had it done at firestone. The remainder of the diagnostics, plus a fuse, AND couple new light bulbs set me back another $140...minus the $15 for coupons/discounts and I was down to about $180 total (plus taxes and environmental fees - I do not include these in the base cost because EVERYONE adds these using same formula). Just for comparison, I had called Firestone and they were going to charge $80 for the oil change, plus $125 for both battery/diagnostics check and that did not include replacement of either of the light bulbs. So Im guessing I probably came out $50 or so ahead by going to GoodNeighbor. I was expecting my CTS to be in the shop at least a day or two but 3-4 hours after I dropped it, Russ called and I went down and picked it up before closing, same day.

These guys are crooks. They are overpriced and poor quality work. They installed some after market brakes and rotors which they dont warranty. Which I understand, but they did a poor job of installing them. Right from the start they didnt bed the rotors which almost caused me to wreck driving home because I had to stop short. A few months later i took my truck in for scheduled service at the dealership and they show me that the front brakes were wearing unevenly. One side of the pad is completely worn down and so is the rotor while the other side had barely any wear. Not to mention that the rest of the calipers had no grease on the slides or any lube for that matter. When I called and told them what happened. They didnt care. Save yourself the headache and dont go to these guys. I will never go back or recommend them to anyone for anything.

Went in to get a comprehensive check including diagnosis of a sporadic and weird milky looking leak. I spoke primarily with Russ, who is great! They took my Jeep for the day, were sure to contact me by phone AND email, and is the only place that has ever given me photos and gone through the trouble of actually explaining the relative importance of each thing they found (red, yellow, green rating system on the emails stating what is more necessary to take care of vs. what can wait). The cost for labor was higher than what I found at other places and the bill didnt itemize why (just stated labor cost for all issues instead of saying labor per issues, had I wanted to not repair everything)... BUT they were the only ones to actually find any problem, so I feel it was money well spent. Will definitely be back

Good Neighbor Tire and Auto have earned my trust and my business. They are very accommodating with their schedule, treat me very respectfully, and are highly skilled and knowledgeable. Basically they offer a world class service for very reasonable prices. Most importantly, they help me stay on top of my car maintenance and keeping my car performing optimally. Each time I come for an appointment, even as simple as an oil change, I get a as a courtesy a detailed inspection report which flags the issues that I need to stay on top of and monitor. They dont even pressure me into coming back and they even take the time to tell me how i can address certain issues at home by myself. Great people and very customer service oriented!

Ok, first of all - the service itself seems to be very good. Its all clean and customer-friendly.. But just let me describe my experience. I did a simple oil change with them and brought a coupon ($18.99) to get a discount. When i came back in 30 minutes they gave me a the receipt for 24.99. Explanation was: tax and filter disposal. I had nothing to do then just agree and pay, but i knew there was not a single word abut extra fees on coupon. Ive asked to reset maintenance required the light but this was not done. After all, when i parked near my home, Ive discovered extra spare part (still dont know what it is) and tooling for nut driver near the windshields (will return when will be near them next time) Thats it.

Good Neighbor has consistently over time given me excellent service and care for my car. I am always greeted nicely and they try their best to accommodate my requests. Waiting is never a problem in their lounge with TV, coffee and a restroom. I never worry about my car because they give me a status report on its condition and what needs to be done. They keep records on my car. Due to their good work I am assured I will never be stranded on the road. If any of their work is not up to snuff they will redo the repair at their expense. I am committed to their service because I know my car is in good care. -Celia
