*****************update************** The owner reached out immediately. Extremely apologetic over the events that occurred. I thought this was just another review that would go unheard. Thank you Dan for rectifying the situation. I hope our family can do business again. I would love to give a positive review to silver city barber. But after the way my son whom has cerebral palsy was treated I cannot. Nor will I return. My husband and kids are regulars at this barber. Their work is always impeccable no denying that. We came in on a busy Saturday(April 9th to be exact). My husband took both boys up to get their haircuts like normal. When the woman in the middle chair rudely and loudly said "NO , no I can not do his, NO!" We explained how we normally cut his hair by holding him in our lap. He loves haircuts. She still refused him service. Bluntly, blatantly and without explanation refused. Feeling a mixture of confusion, embarassment and anger. And the fact we drove from kingston we decided to go ahead and let her cut my 4 year olds hair. I wish I could go back and educate her about cerebral palsy and how its effected my son and our family. But that being my first encounter of such ignorance and rudeness I didnt know how to handle the situation. I also wish I would have got her name. Now that my son is getting older people can tell hes different but no matter his capabilities no one should be disrespected like that. Not sure how this situation could be rectified. Maybe if she explained her refusal in a personable manner it wouldnt have been a problem. My son is a wonderful amazing person who (again ) LOVES his haircut. You lost the business from a family of 4 guys who were regulars. Everyone no matter their condition deserves the respect especially something as routine and regular as a haircut.

I went in because I was happy with the faux hawk fade I got last time but the second I sat down the lady said oh I dont know how to those and had me sit down while she went back to watching the Seahawks game. She asked another lady if she could do it and she just gave her a shrug so I sat there for 15 minutes while nobody said anything to me. Went to barbers r us instead.

Worst hair cut Ive had. She didnt did not listen to simple requests like, keep the left longer and "thats short enough". Even though I said these she continued to even both sides and continued to cut more off. The result is some thing completely different then what I wanted and will take many months to grow back to what I wanted.
