We moved here after having not such a great experience with Emerald gymnastics. At the beginning this place (used to be Eastside gymnastics) was great, the facility was very clean, the coaches were professional, everything was great. Than, at some point, they switched from being Eastside to Tech gymnastics and everything went downhill... Many good coaches left and the front desk is useless. The front desk never know anything, they are not familiar with schedules and nuances of each team. The only thing they basically know - is to receive payments and they dont do it well. For example they charged my friend who asked to pay for a single entrance to the open gym ($10) for a friend of her daughter, they charged her for everything on friends account: monthly dues, competition outfits and etc... She wrote them an email, to the address listed on their site - but the mail is not functional. They charged me for an outfit, before I gave my final approval, and it took me several emails to get the money back. When I signed up (while it was Eastside gymnastics), I was told they prorate for the lesson we are missing due to vacations and etc. I signed my kid to a different group and asked to prorate it, as I signed in the middle of a session and specifically asked to be prorated, but was charged a full price (found out when received the invoice to the email, as the front desk didnt honor me with a reply or explanation)!!!! I dont understand why the front desk girl wasnt able to talk to me and say they no longer prorate?! Moreover, she never told me they have a "camp style week", when the hours are different from the regular hours (middle of the day), as my child was in a different camp during that time and I would never have signed her to this session, if I knew.... So we missed another week of session... Apparently, there is some online schedule that you have to sign for, by contacting someone. FRONT DESK NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT. I learned about it from another mom. And the list just goes on and on.... My daughter complains that they dont teach them anything and tell them they are not ready for it, so the kids practice themselves, and I am afraid that they dont do it the safest way on their own. So many children can do things that they dont want to teach yet, as "the children are not ready for it". The kids keep doing the same boring things over and over again (probably this is all the "coaches" know themselves) and they are bored! They are just standing and yawning. And we are talking about children that love gymnastics, they are eager to learn new things. My gymnast learns the things she wants herself, she is watching youtube videos on "how to" and tries to do the same, as she wants to learn, but she complains that they dont teach. She can do it hundreds of times, until she succeeds, but I am never sure she has her safety in mind, since no one teaches safety on youtube and I cant help her, since gymnastics was never my sport... She says that one of their coaches is only good at yelling, but she cant even stand on a balance beam herself (witnessed it). We are very upset, as we are paying a good money and making a serious effort to bring the kids from a long distance, few times a week. And it feels there is no one to talk to, since the front desk cant give any information. This review is to give this gym a chance to hire a good stuff and train their front desk. I would be glad to change the review if things change here...

It was sad but we decided to drop Tech Gymnastics. We liked our coaches but organization is just terrible. Once we came for kids lesson and we were told it was cancelled. It takes 40 min to drive there. And yes, I have a phone and email! Once a coach from another class was absent and they decided to mix the classes and we got twice more kids in our group. Once we came for the class and my child was alone there, because no one was registered for this class but her. She had only one hour lesson instead of one our and a half and class had been cancelled. And yes, I still had my phone and email. They also has a wrong contact email on their own website. So, its really hard to keep tracking what is going on there, because they usually dont tell you about any updates. All the news I got was from my kids and their friends. We had about 5 different coaches and it would be fair to say that one of them (Bri ) is a really great and nice teacher and when she got absent, she did sent us email in advance and was happy to answer to all of our questions and explain everything. I dont want to share all of my stories (there are more) but I feel like they made us drop out of the gym. That is sad(((

My daughter attended this gym for 3 years. This last year was horrible after they made the change from Eastside to Tech. The rec program gets no attention and my daughter was doing the same things over and over, making zero progress with a couch that never cracked a smile or engaged the girls. After talking to a competitive couch to see about making a change, she literally rolled her eyes when she talked about the rec program -- as if she understood what a poor program it was! When we finally made the decision to move on, I made 3 phone calls attempting to speak to someone with no return phone call. They truly could care less about our 3 years with them, my daughter or any students other than their competitive program. Its too bad.

My daughter has been going to Tech (formerly Eastside) for 5 years. Weve been through the coaching changes and other disruptions mentioned in other reviews, yet Tech remains my daughters happy place. To us, gymnastics is more than skills or a score, and we believe and are thankful that the coaches and leadership at Tech have helped contribute to the development of our daughter as a hard-working, respectful, awesome human.

My daughter has been at Tech Gymnastics (formerly EGA) for the past 5 years. I have seen my daughters skills grow along with the smile on her face when she competes with team. All business evolve over time. What has remained consistent all these years is that the owner and the coaches care about the well-being of the girls. Tech also hires great team coaches that have experience.

My daughter switched from another gym to Tech last summer. She is on their competitive team and she loves it! Tech has given her back her passion for gymnastics! She had improved by leaps and bounds in the past year! We LOVE Tech!!

My 1.5 year old and I go to TINY TOTS class two times a week. We both really enjoy it. Coach Patrick works with the little ones. He is the best. Kids love him! Thank you EGA!
