I had a mixed experience with Kish and Sons Electric. We hired them to do some minor electrical work in an existing space. An electrician was dispatched two weeks after calling. He was knowledgeable and worked diligently. He explained what he was doing and what needed to be done with respect to the job. And he had good stories to share. We had several lights replaced. At the time, the electrician explained that I could supply the fixtures or they could. He suggested the fixtures they supply might be of higher quality for a similar price compared to a big box retailer. So I called their office to inform them wed have Kish supply the fixtures. The next time the electrician arrived, there were no fixtures. The main office had not relayed the message. Due to scheduling issues, the electrician needed to visit a third time but the main office never called me to confirm a date and time. Instead, I got a call from the electrician about 45 minutes before his anticipated arrival. Luckily, I was able to accommodate. The bill was mailed about six weeks after all of the work was done, and the indicated payment terms were net 10 however the invoice date and postmark date had three or five days in between, reducing the requested window for payment. In addition to this, the bill wasnt even itemized. I was shocked that after three visits, labor, and materials, my bill only had two line items. They sent another itemized bill upon request and then I saw that the three lights were much more expensive than expected. I called them to discuss and they said someone would call me. No one called for a week. I had to call again and request another call back. Someone finally called me and said that some of my issues are because of a software system. Heres my bottom line: the electrician was fast and worked hard. The back office seems to have some serious billing and communication issues. (March to May 2016.)

I called on a Friday and no one called me back so I called again on the following Tuesday and they said they were planning on calling, I eventually had someone come do a quote for cameras and some outdoor lights, he told me that my camera wires needed to be spliced and i should return my system so we could use their wires, and that my sensor outdoor lights would get on my nerves!! Waited 4 more days to get a quote which was ridiculously expensive! Disappointing slow service sadly.

Their residential estimating folks are great to work with and come up with well thought out ways to implement our ideas. The electricians are friendly, courteous, efficient and very tidy. They also come up with great ideas when working with ad hoc requests. We would not think of hiring anyone else for our electrical work.
