Wow.They always do a great job on my sons hair cut . But the most recent visit was not OK. I brought my husband there to get a modern longer style to help with the flat head because it bothers him and we had a family photo to do that Day. I tell the male manager what style and he says he wont do it unless he will keep up with it. Umm thats none of your concern how people manage their style later on unless I ask about it. Then my husband comes out with the shortest, ugliest hair cut. Too short to style now. Made his flat head way worse so now he was feeling worse. Worst hair cut!!!! I actually wanted to cry. I was trying to get my husband help and I recommended this place to him. Now I feel horrible. This barber that Day didnt care about what he wanted.Im surprised because we are quiet ,smiley people, not causing no problems and my son is a regular. Now my husbands hair is gone, family photo was cancelled because of it. He didnt feel happy. Im very dissapointed. They need to listen to what style people want and not just do the super short cuts. Not everyone wants hair that short and gelled. My son does but but my husband! My son has good experience for short cuts with other barbers there. But never going to have the manager do any cuts for my family ever again.

First time going to the Barbershop here in Wauwatosa, trying it out. Jose was awesome, did exactly what I requested. The hot towel felt great and relaxing, the shampoo and conditioner was fantastic and a massage at the end was the final touch. I left anxiety free knowing now I have a place I can come and not have to worry about whether or not Ill get the hair cut I want - they do a great job. Fantastic experience, and the price was great! Today was my second visit, Jamie cut my hair. Just like with Jose, she listened to exactly what I wanted done for the hair and she followed my words precisely. Once again I left feeling relaxed and happy, with a fresh hair cut. Also I purchased the American Crew molding clay because I usually use a pomade but she used the clay and the styling turned out great. American Crew shampoo and conditioner also is for sale there and is great product. Overall I am very pleased with the Barbershop and have recommended it to my friends and at least one of them has went there. Great place.

Terrible! It says all the right things on the website, but not worth the $14.00. Asked if they cut black mens hair? They said yes, that was a lie. I took my son in showed the stylist a picture of my son and said can you do this. The stylist asked what number was used on his head? That shouldve been the first hint! My son told the stylist he wanted his hair long enough for waves, she asked him whats that? I wasnt near him when he asked that, although I wish I had been. We wouldve left. The hair cut was a military cut, nothing like the picture. The massage was a vibrating machine rubbed across the shoulders. The hot face towel was just that a hot towel nothing more. I wouldnt send an enemy to that place. IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DO BLACK MENS HAIR BE HONEST DONT LIE!!! I didnt go to school for cosmetology, but I know I couldve done a better job. I also can cut anyones hair if they want me too, as long as they are willing to let me. Scissors, or Razor. DISGUSTED!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I was in need of a good haircut and wanted to try a new place that was much closer to my job than my current barbershop. I have heard good things so I swung through The Barbershop to give it a try. I was pleasantly greeted and enjoyed the complimentary peanuts. I made an appointment so I didnt have to wait long and I ended up getting sat with Rocky who I later found out was the manager. She had a boat load of positive energy and kept a warm smile on the whole time. Most of the time I just want to get in and out of a barbershop but Rocky made it hard for me to leave. From the head massage during my wash, to the back massage afterwards, I got a small price of heaven. This shop is well maintained and would suggest it to anyone looking for a professional facility for a haircut. ASK FOR ROCKY! Lol. Im sure the rest of the staff does just as good of a job too, shes just my new favorite barber.

As others have mentioned, this place is really hit or miss. Ive had excellent cuts from Antoine and Beth Anne, but the last cut I got was absolutely terrible (I dont recall the name). Easily the worst haircut of my entire life. Way too short, uneven, and not at all stylish. I came out of there looking like a 5th grade kid from the late 90s. They do allow you to make appointments with specific stylists but both times I tried this, the stylist I booked with was "gone for the day" when I showed up for my scheduled appointment. I dont think this is the kind of place that keeps appointments well. Needless to say, I will not be back. It was fine while it lasted but no longer worth the risk as the quality has declined.

I have visited a few of the Barbershops in the area, but I always return to "The Barbershop". I never have a regular barber when I am there and I dont feel the need to. I have never had a bad experience. This makes walk ins super easy and convenient. While their biggest competitor in the area "Sports Clips" offers comparable service, they are also far more expensive, at typically double the price for a simple trim. I just had a trim today from a barber/stylus named Summer, and it did confirm my earlier point, that no matter who I get the quality is excellent. Bottom Line Great Employees Great Service Great Price and peanuts.

So usually if you have an appointment you arrive early which I did. Another guy with a one o clock was taken I was next. I get it that they were a little backed up but half an hour later is ridiculous. Two kids who apparently had appointments earlier than me walked in well after one o clock and were taken before me. Why is being late to your own appointment give you priority over someone who is on time? Because common sense died a long time ago. I asked the lady taking the late kids what the deal was and she basically told me someone else would take me shortly. No excuse for not keeping an appointment, bad for business, I walked out.

Need to do something about wait times and appointments. I went there and was told 20 minute wait...at 35 minutes I asked how much longer...I was told about 5 minutes...after a 58 minute wait I had to leave to make a dinner date on time. As I was waiting someone with an appointment was waiting about 15 minutes and another one came in and the stylist said she forgot about him so he rebooked for the next day. They need a system in place that can accurately tell customers wait times. Too bad...because i really enjoyed the few cuts i had here.
