I have been a member of three different Planet Fitnesss over the past 5 years and I have to say the Decatur, AL Planet Fitness is the worst for customer service. I am lucky if I can get anyone attention to tan or get my guest signed in. They are either too busy playing or talking on their cellphones or chatting with friends or each other to be bothered with me. I do not feel welcome there and frankly do not look forward to checking in or tanning. I know I am going to be treated as if I am bothering them. I have never had this experience at the other Planet Finesses. Sadly, I feel so uncomfortable there that I have been going to my friends gym as a guest for the past couple of months. I went back yesterday hoping things had gotten better, but I was treated like an inconvenience again.

I will only comment on the establishment. This location is the unlucky location of planet fitness horrible business practices. First, they require your checking account number for automatic drafting from you account. This is a policy, although, they promote "no contract or obligation". Also, they are franchised, so you have difficulties transferring location. Lastly, the cancelling process was a terrible experience for me. On the other hand, the location was excellent for me. Southern folks with their overwhelming hospitality. The staff were mostly young female with a few male exceptions. The facility was large, but often succumb to larger than capacity crowds.

I had a great experience love the hospitality and felt no judgment will totally keep my membership. But rules are rules and if people are in blue jeans and or but hugging very very short shorts it should be addressed . I do take my teenage daughter with me and if I wanted her to experience that Id take her to a strip club . Even if it was 2 or 4 or 5 times thats too many times. I still love the gym and the employees tho.

Enjoy My Time working out and I try to come everyday!!!! I love the massage chairs and the hydro massage beds. I love the locations and the fact that all the employees are extremely helpful and generous. The prices are amazing and the trainer is Awesome! Planet Fitness is awesome! They gave me a tour and explained everything in detail. The equipment is new and facility is always clean! The staff and management were very helpful and friendly! I also like the fact that they are always staffed every hour they are open! Memberships are reasonable, especially for what you get! PF of Decatur is a great addition to the area!

A place to make you feel better about yourself without actual doing anything worth anyones time, instead of actually working out. You may not be a gym, and Im glad that you dont advertise as such, but I dont think you can call yourselves a fitness center either. You cant actually ger real work done at a Planet Fitness no matter what you work out for.

The new manager fired tina out of spite! Tina is the best personal trainer Ive ever had. She helped me loose 53lbs. Very disappointed and my gym buddy wont even attend now that tina is not there! They got on me for taking a phone call pertaining to my kids but let people wearing jeans and khakis to sandals to work out it in! Hypocrites!

Planet Fitness is a great place to go for a great workout in a super clean and comfortable environment! The staff is super friendly and are very helpful with answering any questions or concerns you may have. They have tons of equipment so you can get in and get a workout in without any wait time, which I LOVE!!

When the mirror is too narrow If your jeans seem far too blue, there is a magic palace made for folks like me and you. The colors purple gold, aesthetic to the nines, cardio and iron your muscles youll define. Decatur planet fitness Ill be forever true until I get too hot and as a lunk I bid adieu.

Monthly prices are good. The equipment is kept in good shape. It is very clean. Plenty of locker room space. Showers are very clean. Everyone is very friendly. There are no daily classes offered (zumba, speed cycling, etc). They have a very good assortment of cardio and strength training equipment.

To Chris: Veteran of the quiet sort, hell scan you in without retort. Hes into fitness- hits the gym but we know a softer side of him. He bathes small kittens when lights are low Then offer punks a KO blow. Its his birthday so we say Do well on this and every day!

I love this place fun place to work out with family and friends staff is super friendly open 24/5 is the only down side but for the monthly fee of $10 cant beat it all in all cant beat the staff and the place 5 stars XD come and join u will love it

Nice facility, very clean, tons of machines, and cardio, not a lot of free weights but its not that kind of gym. Lends itself to more of the Dieter and people just trying to stay in shape. Not going to see many fitness competitors on the floor here

very clean place, very nice and friendly. i love going here. only thing i have to say for improvement is dumb bells could go to a higher weight and maybe a little more variety as far as free weights. other then that i have no complaints.

I joined the gym May 9th. It has been FANTASTIC from the front desk staff, to the trainers! I have zero complaints! My wife and I BOTH have lost around 50lbs already...and the gym atmosphere alone keeps us coming back day to day!!

Planet Fitness was awesome. They showed me around the place and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I am not a big fan of the gym. But, this place is fab. No body builders or lunkers allowed!

This place is great with the hours they have! I work out late and the third shift crew really makes this place enjoyable when its 2 in the morning. They look out for you and will help you whenever you need it.

Great clean gym. Lot of equipment to choose from. Tanning beds, massage chairs and clean locker rooms. Only complaint would be no aerobic classes.
