The place is flat-out amazing. If you ever need to see the standard at which customer service and loyalty should be set at, go visit this Planet Fitness. Most people think that a gym is just a gym. Well....I guess you could say a sandwich is just a sandwich, but PB&J is a long way from some choice roast beef and swiss, amirite? The concept of PF is the Judgement Free Zone, and THAT is what makes this place different. They dont cater to the hardcore power-lifters or body builders that slam weights and grunt at each other like silverback gorillas contesting their territory in the Congo. Keep your bananas bro, Im just here to hit the treadmill! What is the price, you ask? Well lets just say you couldnt get a child-size mocha frappucino and artisan carrot cake muffin at your local coffee shop for less. How about instead of handing your hard-earned $10 over to some coffee-bro with a nose-ring and suspenders, you get yourself 24/7 access to rows and rows of glorious cardio and strength training equipment? Is that not enough for you? Looking for something a bit more....luxurious? How about you double down, flick another measly $10 towards your membership and enjoy unlimited access to their Black Card Spa? "BUT JOPPALO, WHATS IN THERE!?" you ask? How about tanning? DONE. Massage chairs? DONE. Total body toners? DONE. Hydromassage? BOOM, DONE. Thats right, Hydromassage. Two of the greatest things ever discovered by man, water and massage, now together as one. (Apparently Pyromassage wasnt as relaxing) Is this all a bit too much for you to handle? Are you going to pass-out? Maybe you should have a friend come with you to catch you if you fall, just in case. Oh and guess what, its all good because YOU GET TO BRING A GUEST EVERY TIME YOU COME IN. Yes, you read that correctly. Bring yer friend, yer wife, yer mailman, yer pharmacist, little Jimmy from down the street, that one girl you dated for a while but just didnt work out, bring anyone and let them enjoy the purpleness that is Planet Fitness. If lifeless equipment isnt your thing, then perhaps the vibrant, friendly staff is what you seek. These arent your run-of-the-mill "Hi, do you want fries with that" kind of staff. These are service professionals, ready to deliver that customer service you crave like a cheese pizza with side of remember-your-name bread sticks. Every time I walk into this place Im hit with an exceptional greeting as if Jean-Claude Van Damme was split kicking me in the gullet with a foot full of friendliness. Ok look, I get it, why take my word for it? Need to see it with your own eyeballs? Go there and take a tour. Youll get escorted around and have everything explained to you in detail, like youre some kind of fat cat VIP in a high-rise Vegas hotel. Just be prepared to fling your cash at the front desk and tell them to sign you up, because this place is amazing.

The facility itself was nice and well kept but should be due to having been brand new. However after my husband and I moved over an hour away where a facility wasnt within 15 miles of our new location so I asked if I could cancel my membership or transfer my account over to my sister who still lived in the area. The staff let me know the manager was busy talking to someone and that they would contact me back asap to discuss a possibility of waiving the cancellation fee due to our circumstances. The manager never contacted me back nor after another message was left. Since then I have continued to incur charges for a membership I have not been able to utilize and during a conversation with their corporate office was informed that I would have to go there in person or send a certified letter requesting the cancellation and they could do nothing but pass the information along to the franchise owner. Needless to say I am very unhappy with this type of service. I am expected to make the drive to the location to cancel and pay a 58 dollar cancellation fee OR pay to have certified mail sent in addition to the cancellation fee because we are no longer able to utilize the facilitiy due to having moved for my husbands job and my schooling. They also let me know it would be unlikely for me to get any sort of reimbursement for the charges since weve moved regardless of the fact that they could see on their records that I have not signed into any facility since our move in December 2013. Planet fitness does not care about their clients well being or satisfaction. They only care about their revenue. Another thing I wont understand is how they try to endorse a healthier lifestyle yet they have tootsie rolls sitting on the counter and have monthly pizza parties?? Quite the opposite if you ask me. Very dissatisfied with the individual franchise as well as the corporate headquarters and their inability to accommodate and work with their customers.

I really enjoy going to planet fitness, and that is saying something for someone who is currently about 300lbs! Ive probably been going about two weeks now, and I love the evening staff that works there! The two guys that give me a lot of info pretty regularly on things that are going on are Issac (regular worker) and Andrew (manager guy), but all the staff are super friendly. Today was my first time to do a class (Andrew actually suggested this one and signed me up). I did the class where you sit with a trainer and develop a personal schedule (the classes are all included with the membership). I was really impressed with how through the trainer (Lucas) was when putting together my schedule. He gave me suggestions on how to make the most of my gym time but also showed how to work the machines. There are other classes Im definitely going to try to attend now. And there is always machines available to use it seems (even in the busy evening time) so you dont have to feel real rushed to get done with something quick or worry that you will never get a machine. They have Free WiFi. They have "black card" membership that gives you access to amazing tanning beds/massage beds (along with the ability to bring one guest). They have monthly drawings and events. Like definitely try this place, Im not even kidding! TL;DR Planet Fitness has really nice people with an excellent facility for a great price!

Planet Fitness isnt just a gym its a second home! I feel so comfortable working out in their judgement free zone. The staff is always very friendly and great whenever you need help with questions about your account. Its always very clean when I go which make me feel even better working out in a clean friendly environment. Did I mention it is also very affordable?! Yay! They black card is my favorite I recommend it to all my friends and family but if youre not into tanning and the hydro massage beds (which you should be because theyre are amazing and its way cheaper than going to a chiropractor or having a tanning membership) then its only $10 a month to use really great workout equipment 24/7. Amazing! I love planet fitness and I hope its stay around for a long time because I actually enjoy working out now!

So my first visit to the Columbia Planet Fitness was outstanding. I was greeted at the door by the staff who made me feel very welcomed. They quickly signed me up for a membership, at a very low, affordable price. They told me about all the amenities, such as the tanning and hydro machine beds, locker rooms, lock boxes for my items. One of the reasons I signed up was because of the price, 24 hour access which is staffed for the members safety. I would suggest any person signing up, to get the Black Card because it allows access to any Planet Fitness Nation WIDE. Also, I highly recommend meeting with their fitness trainer as well, which is available to all members at no extra charge. Thank you soooo much to the Planet Fitness Staff and Owners for providing such a great work out facility!
