Planet Fitness has been trying to carve out a niche for itself as a gym where so-called normal people can exercise in a “judgment-free zone” but ironically they can’t quite seem to accomplish that goal without coming across as judgmental themselves. i have been around the Fitness Industry for a long time and i have worked in a few place and never have i been judged due to my tattoos and for a place that even says they are a judgment-free zone even with there employment this is a lie . now mind you this is not for all of them i have friends who work in a few Planet Fitness in NC, OH ,CO and they are covered in tattoos but the dothan location is not a judgment free zone and . aging it may just be this location . and the fact that it is the deeps south where the people are not as nice and friendly as it clams to be . if you do not want to be judged do not go to this location there are some very good gyms around the area look into them before this place .

Supposed to be a non judgemental place..... Well Im a skinny bicyclist and I walked in wearing my riding clothing and was snickered at by the person at the desk both approaching and leaving, talked to management about it and I did get a black membership for $10.00, but thats not the point. I used that membership twice.

Its the first gym Ive actually looked forward to going to! A couple employees in the past (male workers) had no idea what to set our tanning bed to as beginners and urged us to do 15mins. I got pink but tanned. My sister burned severely. This has been the ONLY issue.

Great gym concept with friendly staff and clean equipment. Planet fitness caters to many different needs. Whether its your first gym and youre not quite sure or if you know your routine and need a sufficient facility, Planet Fitness is a great place to consider.

I worked out here for a while. The equipment was always clean, maintained, and worked properly. The $10/month is a great deal. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there wasnt any free weights, and it was always really crowded.

This fitness center is awesome! They have so much equipment and so many different types. They have tanning beds, red light therapy, hydromassage chairs, showers, and everything is clean. The staff is very nice and helpful.

I go here every week day, most know me by name and they make me feel part of a team. Good equipment, great atmosphere at lunch time. I look forward to spending an hour here daily. GREAT PRICE too!!

Good gym for the price. Equipment is definitely geared towards beginner/casual lifters. But I think thats common knowledge at this point.
