My partner and I decided to take ballroom dances. We were in our forties, never took ballroom dancing before, and, as it turned out, were rhythmically challenged. Never the less we had a lot of fun! The lessons progressed from basic steps to more advance sequences and, by the end, complete dances. The ballroom teacher had an assistant who helped her show us the steps, and then both of them rotated dancing with the students. That was very helpful as it was much easier to dance with someone who knew what they were doing. The class had more women than men, and in some cases women were paired up with each other and took turns in doing the follower/leader turns. Even though I came with my own partner, he was rotated among the ladies so he can learn to dance with different partners. If there are any single man reading this take note! ballroom dancing is a great way to meet ladies. A single guy at a ballroom class is going to be extremely popular. And during 6 weeks of classes you get to know people in your class. We got pretty friendly with a couple of ladies in the class, and went out for drinks after the class a couple of times. Overall, ballroom dancing is a fun thing to do and a very good exercise. It got us moving and enjoy ourselves, even though were not particularly good at dancing. Glad I went!

A friend recommended the Arthur Murray Mesa to me after taking a few lessons with her husband; she sent me the link to the website, which was very well-designed, informative, and helpful. I called and made an appointment with the very polite receptionist. The building was easy enough to find as the website has clearly-printed instructions. The dance instructor, Brian, was fun and put me at ease right away. He was incredibly patient with me and worked at my pace until I was comfortable with the basic moves. It was something I never thought Id be interested in, and I have an appointment with the same instructor next week. If youre looking to learn ballroom dancing, the Arthur Murray Mesa is definitely the first place Id recommend.

I was sure what to expect when my wife dragged me over there to be honest. I was not expecting to have any fun but they kinda killed me with niceness and I caved. I still didnt enjoy everything but all things being equal, had a good time with the whole thing. I guess Id recommend it if you can keep an open mind. I wasnt open at first but had a good time after I did open.

An amazing studio! My 12 year old daughter is taking lessons and loves everything about it, especially the instructors. Everyone is so nice and genuinely wants to not only help you become a better dancer, but enjoy the learning process as well. Their passion for dancing and people is infectious!

These people are truly amazing they are such great teachers always positive and never give up on you! They will always make you smile and you will always enjoy yourself my dance instructor is awesome I would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn ballroom
