My children loved going there to see their friends and most staff seemed friendly but some were so mean to the older kids. I overheard one lady yelling at the kids for being too noisy after coming in from recess and was getting very angry threatening them that if they made another sound that she would make the entire class sit outside on the bench in the summer heat. As soon as you walk in there is a bad odor through out the entire place. While I was potty training my son he was somewhat afraid of going potty on his own and they would never take him to the bathroom so he was constantly having accidents, even though they were only there for half days. They just said they would do bathroom breaks every hour, but my son would go to the bathroom more frequently. Both of my boys were only in this daycare for a few months and they were constantly sick and had multiple ear infections one right after the other. Shortly after I pulled my kids out of this day care the ear infections went away and they havent been sick once since then. They wouldnt even allow the teachers to put diaper rash cream on my infant when he would get a rash so he would have to suffer until I could pick him up. I do not recomend this place.

This is the worst Day care my kids have ever been to. The owners son works here and is a big bully. He yelled at my son for "snitching" on another kid for pushing him then laughs at my son for making him cry. I went to the owner and she swore up and down that that didnt happen and says she knows for a fact it didnt happen when she wasnt even there when it happened. He also goes to work looking like he just rolled out of bed and wearing flip flops to work like thats real appropriate. The place in general has a bad odor and is just an awful place to take your kids. My kids were there for a couple of weeks and never again would I take them back.

The teachers at this school are negligent and mean to the kids. You drop your kids off and when you return they may have bruises , burns and knots that they didnt originally have. I would suggest any parent that have enrolled their kids in this preschool to often and openly communicate with their kids. Please please please ask probing questions. Funny thing about small children is that they want the company of other kids so badly they would silently endure being mistreated by an adult. Be blessed!

I have owned Peoria Avenue Preschool for 11 years....LOVE LOVE LOVE my career. Our philosophy is every child is unique and to be treated with love and respect. We are a curriculum based school with exceptional teaching staff who take their role as mentor, teacher, and caregiver seriously. We are honored to serve the children and parents in our community.

My son has been going here for a year and a half now. Im very impressed with the education he has received. The teachers are fantastic and really do care about the kids. I visited several other facilities, and this is the only one that felt like a school and not a "child jail".

Both of my sons go to this daycare and I can say they have worked with my oldest sons behaviors. They report to me any incidents right away. They are helpful.
