This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Let me start by saying I have never written a bad review EVER, on anything! So Im not a person who is consistently unsatisfied or is griping just for the sake of argument. I went to dinner with some friends and family at the Peoria location, having a total of 6 in our party. I have been here many times before and up until tonight, it was always a good experience. The wait was minimal, only about 5-10 minutes, and then we were greeted by our waitress Erika. We ordered our drinks and 10 minutes later (a little long for some sodas & water) she took our food order. Here is where the experience went from good to awful. We were brought some bread and asked her for more butter, which she never brought. One guest at our table asked her to bring him 2 glasses of soda because it took her so long in between refills. 15 minutes after we ordered our food she came to the table and told one of our guests they didnt have what she ordered anymore and would need to reselect her order. We waited for our food to come out with no avail. I finally asked to speak to a manager after having sat down an hour earlier with still no food at our table!! Do you think the manager said sorry? No! she said no one was waiting on food that long per their computer system. Meaning ERIKA didnt even enter our order until she came back and had our friend reselect her meal, 15 minutes after we first ordered. When we questioned Erika where our food was she gave the table a dirty look and said she would check. When she returned to the table she said it should be coming out soon. I had gotten very angry at this point and told her we had been waiting over 45 minutes from when we first put our orders in. Again, no apology, or accountability, so I told her we were all leaving. Her retort was that they make all of their meals made to order and it had only been 28 minutes. in which I replied " so does Burger King, and they dont take 45 minutes from when a customer first orders!" When I asked her name, she told me she has been a server for 25 years and had never been so disrespected!!!?l? Are you kidding me, Im the customer!! And the fact that in her eyes 28 minutes waiting for food wasnt long enough to at lease come by and let us know it should be coming our shortly, or even check on our table for that matter. There was a 25 minute stretch where we didnt see her at all! Ridiculous! Erika, single handed, are the one reason I will never be back to your establishment. If she has seriously been a waitress for 25 years, A) thats sad B) she has learned nothing about customer service.? Maybe its time to retire. The entire staffs lack of accountability, or even a "sorry" are sad enough. Looks like these days its no longer about the customer or at the very least customer service.

My visit at the cheesecake factory today was horrible. Usually i get fast service and the food is good, but after today i am NEVER going back. It was just me and my friend for dinner and we were stuck there for what seemed like an hour and 40 minutes because of our waitress, who i unfortunately cant remember the name of. We were seated quickly and got our drinks fast, but once we ordered our food everything went downhill. We waited for about 20, 25 minutes for our food. I got the chicken honey truffle with the mashed potatoes and broccoli, which the broccoli was cold and the potatoes were room temp. I didnt bother the waitress since we waited a while for our food and she paid more attention to her other tables, so i just ate my food anyway because the chicken was actually good. My friends food was fine. When we were done eating she packed my friends food for us and asked if we wanted any dessert. We were both going to order a cheesecake, but after giving us the dessert menu she left us for about 20 minutes until she finally came back to take our order. Then it took another 20 minutes just to get our dessert, which we got to go. When she gave us the bill it took her 20 minutes to pick it up because she messed up on the bill payment for the table next to us and it took another 20 minutes just to get our bill back because we couldnt leave when she had our card. To top it off when i was looking at the cheesecake my friend ordered and compared it to mine, his piece was bigger. I was already irritated with our waitress so i decided to go talk to one of the guys at the counter selling the cheesecake. I showed him the pieces and told him mine was smaller and that they just filled mine up with more whip cream to fill up the empty space. It is literally $8 a piece so i wanted my moneys worth. He told me that "my friends piece has cake in it so its supposed to be bigger." Then proceeded to show me the whole cake of what my friend got and another cheesecake with the pre slice cuts on them, but they both had the same size cuts. I knew he was just giving me excuses, and i didnt see the problem in just giving me a different piece that was bigger. I was going to burst out of anger at that point and i knew if i tried to reason with him, he probably wouldnt give it to me so i just gave up and walked out. I am really disappointed, dissatisfied, and pissed off. Our total tab was almost $60 and none of it was worth it for what we paid for.

If I could give NO STARS I WOULD writing this as Im leaving cheesecake So I come to this cheesecake all the time but today was so bad I had to write about it. We had to wait over 30 mins for table on Mothers Day which wasnt too bad but the service today was awful. Everything took a long time from getting water, to bread, to even plates. First the bread was brought out but was cold by the time we received it due to taking forever to bring out plates. We, then received our food however my food was cold and order was completely wrong waiter reassured me the rest of my order was coming out and being fixed by the time I received it everyone was done eating not to mention my 9 year old cousin was watching others eat due to them bringing out her food when extremely late . They did not offer and type of discount on my order that was messed up but a slice of cheesecake ( which I dont was eat ) I ended up giving to my grandmother since nothing else would be done also my grandmother paid half her bill in cash ( gave waiter ) $80.00 he came back saying we only gave $60.00 worst Mothers Day lunch ever !

My Grandmother gave me a gift card for Christmas this year to the cheesecake factory. I was very excited because I had never been. Well I am NEVER coming here again. We waited 30 min. for our little buzzer thing to go off, then had to wait another 15 min. just for someone to actually seat us. Our waitress came and took our drink orders and 20 min later we got them. Our food took forever to actually come out and when it did my sandwich was dripping it was so greasy. Then that made the bun all soggy as well. I probably took about 4 bites. When our waitress came to check on us 30 min later, we asked for a piece of strawberry cheesecake to go and the cheek she took her sweet time to get it for us and didnt even ask about my uneaten food. And you should really do something about your strawberry cheesecake, just because you put 1 half of a strawberry on a piece of cheesecake that doesnt make it strawberry cheesecake. My grandmother should get her $50 back because this place is a joke.
