I met Rick almost 20 years ago at a fashion show where he was the Stylist. I quickly left the stylist I had used for several years and have never looked back. There are very few stylists that you can say with confidence, "Do what you want, I trust you.", and leave satisfied with the end result. As I have followed Rick and he has followed me from short to long, and blonde to red and back, I can say without hesitation I have loved every cut and every color. I have always appreciated the professionalism, honesty and creative energy from Rick, his assistants and everyone in the salon. On a couple of occassions I had to schedule with another stylist in the salon and felt confident and satisfied that they held the same skill and professionalism as Rick. Recently, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Rick and his staff have been unbelievably supportive and helpful. Rick has kept my hair looking good even as it fell out and then went the extra mile to go wig shopping with me, trim them and now cuts the hair that is coming back, shaping it to look its best and anticipating how it will continue to grow and helping me to manage it. He already has a plan for my hair as it grows out. I recommend R Salon, Rick and his staff highly and without hesitation. They are above and beyond the rest.

After asking all of my friends and looking online for a salon in Phoenix, I found that R Salon had some of the the best reviews and it was recommended to me. I never like to try anywhere new when it comes to my hair because Im afraid it will turn out awful (which is what happened at my last hair appointment), but I called and made the next available appointment. Domingo was my stylist. Walking in to R Salon I immediately felt comfortable and welcome, I was greeted and offered refreshments. Domingo was more than helpful! I went in with long hair that was ruined with a very damaging ombré, I went in knowing I wanted to cut most of my hair off just for it to be healthy. But Domingo listened to my bad experience and offered suggestions on what I should do with my hair, he made sure to listen to what I liked and what I didnt like. After cutting off a lot of my hair there was still some damage and some areas where my hair was lighter but Domingo blended the together colors to help with the perfect color for my hair. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my hair! The color is perfect, and it feels so healthy and that is all I could ask for! I will definitely be going back to Domingo and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I went in to redeem my Living Social Chocolate Mani/Pedi deal, and was disappointed. As far as the service itself was - it was OK. Nothing outstanding....I get better at my local strip mall place. I dont know why they called it a "chocolate" pedi...the only thing chocolate about it was the brown powder they put in the pedi water that made it sort of a muddy reddish brown. But the part that made me decide not to return or recommend this was the hygiene. It didnt appear that tools were sanitized between customers, as they came out of and went into the same tool kit. The ONE pedi chair in the salon was barely cleaned between guests - the basin was just sprayed with some kitchen cleaner. The towels were stained and fraying, and the metal pumice "cheese grater" used on the feet was taken out of a plastic drawer, used, and thrown back in without any sort of cleaning, which makes me think the rest of the stuff in that drawer was gross as well. Needless to say, I wont be back, nor will I recommend this place as a mani/pedi place to any of my friends. ick.

After looking online for a salon in Phoenix, I noticed R Salon seemed to have the best reviews. I was super nervous about getting my hair cut but after reading some reviews I decided to schedule an appointment with Haley. When I arrived I was greeted and offered a drink; everyone was super friendly and welcoming! The best part about my experience at R Salon was that I never felt intimidated. Haley was amazing! She immediately put me at ease about the appointment and started by listening to what I was looking for. She offered her ideas on what she thought would look best with my face shape, showed me pictures and made sure she knew exactly what I liked and didnt like before beginning. Haley even blended together colors to help create the perfect color for my hair which I completely love! Haley took the time to explain things when I had questions and offered styling ideas that I could try at home. I recommend Haley to anyone looking for a friendly, professional, and genuinely awesome hair stylist.

Ok where do I start? Last time I found an exceptional stylists I was living in a different state, and the she moved to Chicago... Now after many failed attempts at finding that person who could treat me and my hair with sush care and attention, (almost 10years later) I finally found him! Rick is incredible! I love that he enjoys his job, has no problem voicing his opinion, and being honest about what he thinks will look good and what will not. He has a dry sense of humor, quick to listen and understand what it is that I want to do. The salon is spacious, neat, and clean. I can not possible ask for more! Yet they do go above and beyond. The fact that they serve delicious, freshly brewed coffee, have snacks, lemonade, and water is a small thing but oh so wonderful!! I liked this place so much that I even brought a friend to get her haircut fixed up properly, and without a blink of an eye Rick made it better. All in all, exceptional service, quick, and efficient. Luuuvvveee it!

the situation. graduating from fresh start women foundation. saw groupon for salon. $49 cut. niza told my wife1. her previous dresser ruined her hair. 2. he was going to do before/after pic. 3. putpic in salon ads.4.wanted a in so her could do hair for the foundation. he was told how much money was avail. what time ceremony started(same day). all said the bill was 120. far from the amt the smack talking niza was told was available. daughter says hair looks green in flourescent lighting. great job of taking advantage of someone who should of been helped. niza should try robbing the womens bingo at the church on weds nights. zero tip for a zero of a person. all things come around niza. you reep what you sow. ill post this review everywhere salons like r hair salons are reviewed. the bbb and anywhere i can find. its the 3/13 rule. niza doing anything for the fresh stsrt womens foundation=snowballs chance in hell.

I have been visiting Amy Horn here for years now. And she is absolutely amazing! She is so friendly and has such a kind heart. And she is great with hair! I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair cuts and she has never done me wrong since day one. I unfortunately live out of state now, but just visited last minute this past Thanksgiving break and she was able to squeeze me into her schedule. I did something different this time and received a Brazilian Blowout. Best decision I have ever made! My hair takes literally 15 minutes tops (it used to take me 30 minutes and I would have to straighten my hair on top of that afterwards) to blow dry and now I dont even have to straighten it! Its amazing! So if you have ever been thinking about getting this done, I would highly recommend it! And I would highly recommend booking any appointment with Amy H! :)
