If you have long hair and want to keep it, do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for a good quality hair cut. I had my hair butchered here yesterday by a Fantastic Sams stylist and I walked out looking like a lopsided freak. If only I had taken a picture before having it fixed elsewhere today because you really had to see it to believe it. I explained very clearly what I wanted to the stylist, which was barely more than a simple trim. If the stylist wasnt comfortable with cutting long hair she should have called over someone else at that time or had me wait. She clearly is not ready to be cutting hair and she should never be allowed to touch thinning shears, especially on someone with already thin hair. My hair is so thin on one side that I part my hair on the side so that I can even out my hair. Now I have half as much hair in the front because for some reason she felt she needed to chop half the hair off several times with thinning shears all the way down to the ends. You can see the chop lines through my thin hair. I also discussed not liking bangs, so fortunately she only gave me bangs on the left side of my head. The right side has no bangs and what hair is left on that side is choppy because of the thinning shears. It will be years before my hair recovers from this disaster because it’s down to my waist. Unfortunately the damage was more than the stylist I went to today could fix, but he did even it out as much as possible. I will spend the next several years growing out the unattractive and unnecessary chop marks from the thinning shears. My hair only grows 1/6 of an inch per month even with biotin. A womans hair is her identity and I feel like I have been seriously violated. I would rather have a root canal any day than a bad hair cut that takes years to recover from both physically and mentally. I hope this review helps someone to avoid the same painful mistake I made. I should have asked questions like: How long have you been out of beauty school? How much experience do you have with long hair? Do you feel comfortable trimming long hair knowing the clients hair grows slower than most and the client will be crying herself to sleep and again each time she passes a mirror? It has only been one day since I was violated, only 1094 more days to go before I can hopefully put this nightmare behind me.

Ive visited this location on two different occasions. Both times I went in for a 12 foil touch up because my roots grow out rather quickly. The first time my mom paid for it, so I didnt know how much this particular treatment cost, but she informed me after my second visit that it was around $38. The second time I went I told the girl that I wanted a 12 foil and she corrected me that I wanted a "partial highlight", basically implying that they were the same thing. Then she gave me the 12 foil and did a toner. The issue that I am having is the fact that this cost me $65. Surely the toner treatment did not cost $30. I did not know that $65 was not correct until returning home and talking to my mom about it. Throughout my visit she constantly tried to upsell me on getting my hair cut and getting a deep condition, even though I had told her that I was not interested many times before. While brushing my hair, instead of working through knots, she just ripped through it, and then again commented on how damaged it looked. When hair is wet you need to be extra careful with it and she just held it in her hands and ripped away at it, and when she set the comb back on the counter it was full of my hair. Other than trying to make more money off of me, she was not interested in talking with me, and this was the way that it had been in my first visit as well. Overall I can say that I have never had a worse experience while getting my hair done. It is frustrating to me that I received such poor service and treatment.

Ive had good haircuts and I have had bad haircuts here. Granted, the way I like my hair is kind of complicated. But sometimes you tell them did not to do something and they do it, or you tell them to do something and they dont do it. The last time I went in I had them use the clippers on my hair which was fairly long for me (about 4-5" long), and I dont know what they did but it ended up to be just over a trim. It seemed like the clippers just skimmed the ends of my hair. The clippers should have taken at least one and 1/2 inches more off my hair, and the person who did it laughingly told me that I had to remember I came in with long hair. That should not have mattered; my hair should have been 1 to 1 1/4 inches long total when I left - NOT OVER 3". But yes, Ive had other times when my hair was cut perfectly. I think you just have to stick with the person who cuts your hair right. Unfortunately my own schedule does not allow me to pick and choose who I use. That day I was doing some shopping and I thought I would just pop in and get a hair cut. But I ended up coming home and having to cut my own hair considerably!

I was so happy with the results of my hair which needed fixed, and was very pleased with the friendly environment. All the girls engaged and talked to me and it made my experience fun! Thank you

The wait at this Fantastics Sam is typically very short in my experience. I have been a walk in client multiple times and waited no more than 15 minutes for hair cuts or eyebrow waxing. The staff who Ive encountered are pleasant and done a great job with my hair cuts or eye brow waxing.

My hair is cut way too short then I asked for. My friends hair was dyed and they used the wrong color and fried it. Every time I go to get a trim they always butcher my hair. Im switching to a different barber shop. The staff there is friendly though, would not recommend.
