Todays date: 07/13/16 This rating is regarding the Fantastic Sams on 12958 West Indian School. ------------------------------------------------------------------- I have always been a loyal customer to that particular location, and this is why.. Recently my mother had passed away; I was in badly need of a hair cut, I mean I looked rugged because I let myself go. After going to that location I received a haircut from Brianna. During my visit she asked me how I am doing. After explaining to her what I was going through she over extended her courtesy by being nice and just listening to me during my cut. "She said dont worry were going to get you fixed back up, looking good, and she did." Afterwards, it was clearly visible that she was over extending herself trying to lift my spirits. Every time I go in there Brienna and her staff are always cheerful and working hard to satisfy their customer base. Everyone in that facility acts in a professional manner building and maintaining their relationships with thier customers, giving you the best Fantasic Sams experience. " I left with a great haircut feeling refresheshed and smiling, ready for the start of a good day." Brianna turned my grief around by displaying humanity and concern for another human being. Sometimes life kicks you in the face and its nice to know theres people like Brianna that will just listen and work hard to pick your spirits up. (Brianna is a valuable asset to your company) I will definitely tell my fellow peers at ASU and refer them to Fantastic Sams. -Building relationships builds business! -Thank you Fantastic Sams Your employee made my day so much better. Ive been here before a few years ago and I loved my hair cut, cheap, and quick. So today I decided to go back and it seemed like how it use to be. However the girls working there were unprofessional except one and I wish I had a haircut by her instead. A girl walked in with a resume to drop off to the manager but one of the girls told her the manager wont be back till monday but they will take her resume. Sure enough when the young lady left they were quick to read her paper. They were saying she just got out of school in may and were laughing at her old salon she worked at. My hair dresser "tried" being secretive and telling the girls that she dont want a new girl straight out of school because she dont want to be slammed with questions and they should send her to another fantastic sams. To me this is unprofessional and makes me never want to go to beauty school. That paper should have bee seen only by the manager. I love my hair cut, but I hate my bangs she cut them to short and wanted to make them shorter and was rude when she brought up my dandruff. I will not go back this salon. I rather go to a salon more professional and way more nice.

They close before the times posted on the door and dont have the front door locked. If you are closed then lock the door so new customers cant enter. When they have a customer finishing while the door is locked they can let them out and re-lock the door. Banks do this every day, is a barber or stylist less intelligent than a bank teller? They made it sound like I was an idiot and that even though the door was unlocked and they had 2 minutes before the actual closing time based on atomic clock keeping used by cell carriers, not the watch of an employee that is 5 minutes fast. This was most disappointing to my kid who was asking for a haircut all week. We get turned away and I tell my kid, "they said they are closed for the day" and my kid argued with me if they were closed then the store would have been empty. From the sounds of it a handful of the employees started their own place just south on Dysart by the gym. These must be the employees who actually work harder. Im going to go there now and try them out. If they do a good job I might give them the biggest online push for a startup to put this place out of business.

Ive gone here multiple times and have never had a bad experience until yesterday! The two ladys that were working last night were beyond unprofessional. I brought my 2 year old boy to get his hair cut right at about 630pm. We walked in and went to the desk, the two girls were with other customers and did not say "hello", "we will be with you shortly" nothing. They looked up at us and say absolutely nothing. I waited at the counter for about 5 minutes with them just looking at us and not saying a word. It seemed they were too busy talking to each other that they could not be bothered to communicate with their waiting customer. I will tell you that even though this was my first negative experience, it only takes one. This experience was so upsetting that I will not step foot in there again, I will be calling the manager, and I will be telling everyone that I know not to step foot in this fantastic sams or any fantastic sams again!

So, we made an appointment for 1:30 pm for our two boys and when we arrived, the lady there said there were 3 walk ins ahead of us and it would be 45 minutes. I advised them that we made an appointment and she said, "sorry, we try to take care of the people who were here before you". I asked what is the reason for making an appointment then if it doesnt matter anyway? She said,"i agree, and asked if I wanted to speak to her manager". I said yes, and she said well she is not here till tmrw......WOW! I will never return and give them another dime. ITs too bad really considering we have been going for a long time. This is how you loose people. Oh and while this was happening, my kids were crying in devastation because they could not get hair cuts.

I came in to have my hair highlighted and I had the privilege of meeting Rachael, who was my hair stylist. She was Ah-amazing!!! When the original highlights did not turn out as planned, she accommodated my schedule to have me come back the same day and fixed her mistakes free of charge. I know everyone would like to get it right the first time, but everyone makes mistakes and she truly went above and beyond in my book! She made sure I was happy with it and did an awesome job! I am a completely satisfied customer and hope to see her again in the future!

I was somewhat reluctant to write this, but it has disturbed me since. While getting my hair cut in early February, the stylist asked how were my holidays? In informed her that my mother had passed away two days before Christmas and I had to put my dog down six days later, due to cancer. The stylist somehow found humor in my losses and began laughing. Needless to say Fantastic Sams has lost my familys business and would appreciate them takin my name out of their system.

Had a great experience here today. My 3 sons and I got a cleanup trim today and the ladies there were awesome! They did a great job on our hair and I really appreciated how friendly they were to my children. Clean, professional, and friendly establishment. Ill continue to bring my family here from now on. Thank You!
