I called for someone to come out to repair the blower on our spa. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment and, even though I had given them the brand and model # of my spa, the technician was not prepared to repair it. Instead, he spent the entire time on the telephone giving instructions to other technicians. My husband and I sat in our kitchen with the back door open and watched and listened to the technician. From our view in our kitchen, with the back door open we had a perfectly good view of what did and did not transpire. He unscrewed the panel from the hot tub. He used a device to check to see if the blower was getting electricity. Time elapsed: approximately 60 seconds. Then, for the remainder of the time he was here (barely 20 minutes), he sat in front of the hot tub talking on his cell phone instructing other technicians how to make repairs at their locations. After he finished his third telephone call, he replaced the panel, gathered up his tool bag and told us we needed a new blower and you would have to order it. A few days later I was given a quote of $250 for the blower, which seemed excessive to me so I did some research and found a brand new motor for $100. Considering our initial experience with this company, we chose to hire another contractor to install the blower. I wound up paying $250 for the new blower AND installation. A couple of months later, Backyard Paradise started sending me bills for $125 for the "no service, service call."

I was the first in line this year to pay for my liner and was told at the time they would have my liner and my pool light in my pool within 4 weeks. I asked if I could have my old pool liner cut in half and left in my driveway for someone else to pick up because they had a use for it. The boss told me that I can have my pool liner any way I wanted it. I paid them $2,000 cash on the 20th of March. My liner was cut into strips and left in my trashcan in the middle of my driveway and in front of my mailbox. There is not enough room for me tell you what all happened here. But go to their FB page. I left the full version there. OH! LET ME ME NOT FOR! BP had literally concreted my ladder into the pool so that I cannot pull it out and put it up in the winter AND they left their concrete tile On my porch. There is am awful mess there that is now permanent. No one ever asked if we wanted the ladder permanently installed and no one has ever told us that they permanently installed our ladder. The basic agreement is that they will drain the pool, take out the old liner, put in the new liner, (put in the light) and fill the pool. They only did two of the five things they promised to do. We only got to swim in it for the first time this past Friday the 10th of June. Almost 3 months from the day this all started.

Poor customer service. We have always gone here but for the last year it has been terrible. All of their good employees have been run off or left, they dont hold up their promises, they are way over priced now, and you can never get a straight response. there is just too much to say about what has happened but dont get them upset cause they will text you and tell you that they will never do business with you. I dont think that I have ever seen a company do that. We have spent thousands here. But never again will a penny be spent here, nor will I ever send them any business again!

Horrible. I bought a pool pump there open box they said it was new but when I got home and took a closer inspection it had been plumed the pipes already attached. With Teflon tape it was obviously previously attached to a base. The thing wouldnt even turn on. When Im the store they said it was the only one left but when I called them they said theybhad another. Slit was even twice the price of the pumps at Leslies.

Avoid!!!!! Walked in with $400 for my yearly pool supply purchase. Talked with one lady when a shorter hefty lady walked up and started to give me a rude attack on what I was going to purchase. She continued to talk down to me and I finally told her I knew what I wanted and why. I ended up driving to family leisure with my money and got a 20% discount as well. I wont be going to backyard anytime soon.

These ladies "the manager" are so hard to talk with and deal with! I was trying to give the a second chance after my last dealing with them, thinking they were just having a bad day, but NO its just how they are!

My experience has been good after the new management took over. The company has been prompt and efficient. The service man is polite, efficient and very competent. If needed I will use them in the future.
