This daycare has been great up until my son moved to the 3year old room. First it started with telling me he could not bring his lunch due to state regulations. Mind you he had been bring his lunch the past 2 months while he was in the 2 year old room. I asked for a copy of this rule and where it was stated so that I could get the doctors note that the owner claimed I had to have. Well needless to say she could not produce the paper I requested and I was told the law changed so now it was ok. The owner never once contacted me to apologize about the mix up or anything. After the lunch incident my son begin to tell me very detailed things that were happening to him. Things such as people spitting on him, hit him and punching him. I mean it was literally something everyday. When asked about the spitting incident they basically told me my son was lying stating that children fabricate and the little girl he was saying spit on him has a lisp. My kid knew every detail down to who he told and what they did/said. The final straw was my son telling me he was put in time out for not sharing. First of all if my kid is ever disciplined for ANYTHING I need to know. I asked my son well why didnt you want to share? He stated I just wanted to play by myself. I said well why did you want to play by yourself and he says "because they dont like me"!!! My kid is THREE and there is no way he should feel this way! Im beyond pissed about everything. I also get a vibe when I pick him up like they are just putting on a show because Im there but nevertheless my son wont be back.

My daughter has been attending Sugar Bear since 2011, and I consider them part of the family. We have had our ups and downs, including problems with some of the staff, but when those problems were brought to the owners attention, they got fixed. I always felt that I could go in and talk with the owner about any concern that I might have because she loves every kid there. My daughter is currently in kindergarten and reading at a first grade level; and that has a lot to do with Sugar Bear! Not only that but she is having a great year in school, and that is because of them. She really blossomed while attending Sugar Bear and is now really excited about going during the summer. Not only will she not be bored, she will get to hang out with her best friends! (Some of those best friends just happen to work there!) I do recommend making sure that you put bug spray on your child in the morning and leave some there for them to put on. There are lot of mosquitoes in the area around Sugar Bear.

Great daycare. My son loves it here and has gone since he was 6 weeks old, hes now 4. He was fully potty trained by 20 months (I credit much of it to the them!). They have class time everyday except for during the summer. Summer activities include water day, Sonshine swimming, movies, library crafts, special fieldtrips, etc. My daughter now goes here as well and theres no place Id rather them be!
