After hearing radio advertisements for Mr. Spark in Northwest Arkansas, I didnt hesitate to call after I ran into a situation where I needed and electrician. I worked in a warehouse for several years as a maintenance tech so I am familiar with many various kinds of electrical installations and problems. I decided to add GE Smart switches into my home. The single toggle switch replacement was very easy, even the three-way switch installation was not difficult. But then I found in my living room I had a 4-way switch configuration. I spent the better part of the day tracing wires to see what went where. Then I looked at the wiring diagrams provided by GE. None of the diagrams made sense. So like everyone else I started with searching Google for 4-way Smart switch installation. I could not find a site that could explain or show how to connect the wires to the switches. So I decided before I make a major mistake I better call Mr. Sparky. Ricky was on-time just like the ad promised. I asked him if he had ever installed GE Smart switches before and he was very candid and hones to say he had not. As I showed him the diagram that I had drawn of my 4-way switch system and I described my dilemma to him, he was very calm and confident that he could wire them correctly and get the lights to work. After he analyzed the situation carefully he recommended that he would need to pull another 12/3 wire run to complete the circuitry for the last switch. I can tell you from previous experience that running new wires in an existing house is the most difficult task any electrician could face. Ricky kept a very positive attitude even though he wasnt able to eventually pull the new wire. He ended up collaborating with another master electrician and found another solution. Within 15 minutes he had all 3 switches wired and working correctly. He explained every step process knowing that I had enough electrical knowledge to understand. He installed all the faceplates and cleaned up every mess he made. Using Mr. Sparky was definitely an enjoyable experience and gave me the piece of mind know that a professional had installed what to me would have been a very complex wiring task. Ricky is now fully trained on how to install GE smart switches and should be considered a highly valuable asset to Mr. Sparky NWA. Thanks Ricky for all your help and thank you Mr. Sparky NWA for dispatching such an amazing person and electrician. Scott

We initially met with Joe who very clearly explained what needed to be done to our house to remedy the problems wed been having. I never felt like he was trying to push us into getting upgrades that were not needed. He also made sure that we understood how all of the costs were split up. This was a major purchase for us that we hadnt really planned on making just yet, but after talking with Joe, he helped us see the benefits of the work we needed done. It was more like a friend offering recommendations rather than a salesman trying to sell a product. We were able to schedule an appointment for the next day to get our work done. There was an issue getting a part in time, so our appointment was pushed back a couple of hours, but thats not really anyones fault. We knew it was going to be an all day job either way. Brad and Wyatt were the electricians that worked on our house, and they were wonderful. They both were very personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. I wasnt there for most of the day while they were working, but once they had finished with an area of the house, they put everything right back in its place. They did an amazing job of cleaning up any debris that was left behind, and once the whole job was completed, they walked us through what all had been done and made sure they answered any questions we had. This was the first major work my husband and I have had done on our house since moving in 3 years ago, and I am 100% satisfied with the job that Brad and Wyatt did. Hopefully we wont have any other major issues for a while, but if do, we will for sure be calling Mister Sparky.

You would have to be absolutely insane to use these guys. I was extremely happy that they came out nearly immediately after i requested a 20amp outlet installed over my fireplace. (Mind you, i already did one myself in another room, i just wanted someome else to this one due to complexity) He showed up crawled around in the attic and came back down saying "this will be a tough job" after a few minutes he came back with a quote of $1200! I was stunned. I told him no. He then said itll be $79 for me coming out today. I was livid. I specifically asked the them if i would be charged a dispatch fee and they said no (part of why i asked them to come out) he said he would waive the dispatch fee which somehow brought the cost down $300?? I said its way too much, then he said he would cut me a deal and tie into an existing outlet (which is what i told him i wanted in the first place) he said its a very complicated job and would take him 3 hours - he could do it for $479. Thats insane. After supplies thats still over $100/hr. I agreed just to get it done and over with. He completed it in 45 minutes. It still cost me $479. This should have been a $200 job TOPS. The guy did a nice job and it looks great but i got royally screwed. The icing on the cake was when I told him I would be mounting a TV above the fireplace and thats why I wanted an outlet. Then he said "Hey we do installs for TVs it will be $450" I literally laughed at him. Speechless. Do not use these guys.

Our first experience using Mr. Sparky NWA was several months ago when we needed an outdoor receptacle for our fountain replaced because of the poor work of another electrician. We also had an issue with one of our recessed kitchen ceiling lights and had a light switch that needed to be replaced. Joe S. was sent out and impressed us enough that we called again this week when we decided to switch out the rest of the ceiling light cans and bulbs in our kitchen. I requested Joe and received the same great service as I did on our first call. On both occasions Joe took the time to make sure he understood exactly what our issues were and discussed possible causes as well as what our solution options were. He was both friendly and professional as well as being very thorough in completing the work and making sure I was satisfied. Based on my two experiences with our local Mr. Sparky, and Joes work in particular, I would highly recommend them to anyone needing the services of an electrician.

We had experienced damage to some electronics due to a lighting storm, and called Mister Sparky to do a safety review of the house. Our house is also 50 years old, and has been partially renovated, so Shannon found some things that were not up to code, and made recommendations about those. In the end, we were presented with three options - one to take care of everything (storm damage and safety upgrades), one that would leave out an optional upgrade, and one that just took care of damage. I appreciated that he was really thinking about our budget, and wasnt pressuring any one option. Shannon handled the immediate needs, and Ricky came back that afternoon to finish up the bigger projects. Both of them were completely professional and Ricky even rehung the artwork and vacuumed up his mess in the hallway. I think weve found our "forever home" for electrical issues. :)
