I havent ever taken a computer or electronic device for repair there but I do know that there wasnt bad customer service at all. The people who worked there were very kind and helpful with good advice and suggestions. They had a good selection of RAM and the same goes for there processors. They had a smaller, but still decent amount of towers and power supplies, but those were all good most being high end. They also had a good amount of hard drives and GPUs. The most extensive thing they carried though was there motherboards they had an entire shelf devoted to a variety of motherboards with a very reasonable price tag, some even lower then the super companies that can choose their price tag with more ease. They had another row devoted to items like internet boxes and similar devices. The last shelf was filled with used computers, all being at a good price. On the bottom row, they had scrap and repairable computers, most in which the price was as much as the tower or processor alone and used. My favorite part was the customer service which was out standing. They helped me find half the components needed o build my computer at a minimum of $10 less then the larger companies charged.

A friend of mine and I went here to look at wireless adapters, motherboards, processors, kits, memory, video cards, etc... and found a wireless adapter marked (with a price gun sticker) for around $25-30. It was a decent adapter and we took it to the counter to purchase it. Upon ringing up the item, the price stated $80, and we showed the employee (who I believe was the manager) the price sticker on the product. He took the sticker off and insisted he cannot sell the item for the marked price. He must sell it for the price the computer listed it as. I asked a couple questions to the employees working behind the counter with all the mobos, and they seemed to know very little of what they were doing. Ive heard of very bad things from this place from people I know as well. They tried to charge a friend of mine (who knows nothing of computers) $140+ to install a simple internal PCI Ethernet Adapter. I advise extreme caution when dealing with these people. I believe the employees mean well, but the manager brings down the store. I review this as 2-Star only because the place is moderately nicely laid out and its not run down, its a clean environment.

If youre in a bind and need some quirky part right now then you might want to check this place out. Granted, Ive gotten some stuff from NewEgg within a day or two with their standard shipping option. The employees seem like people that just know something about some computer they got for Christmas and decided to make it their profession. If you know what part you need and have all the information then you can use this place as a glorified computer parts dispenser but pack a lunch if you think youre going to get any kind of information and/or help out of their staff. Its almost like their staff works across the street at the mall in some obscure kiosk and got a job there because its within walking distance and they dont have to borrow their moms car to get to and from their various jobs. Oh... and in these settings, you can bet money that if you do have to speak with a manager on something, youre going to end up interfacing with a complete and utter tool. So, if you absolutely have to get a 3 SATA cable (or some other niche part) right now then check them out... otherwise, stay as far away as possible.

i am in the piano business for six years selling Steinway & Sons pianos and their related lines, Boston and Essex pianos, as well as Roland digital pianos.i used my computer every day for six years for every thing from making up price tags, writing the text for my piano method and e-mails. etc. four weeks ago my computer crashed and totally froze up. I called computer depot who was able to successfully extract my files and save them to a disc. They then put in a new hard drive, downloaded my files and installed Windows 7 and my Microsoft office to fully enable computer with Word, Power Point and Excell. and provide it with an upgraded protection against future intrusions of viruses. These people, Mo, Ryan Job, Oliver and Ruth not only know what they are doing, they are extremely generous with their time in providing me, an original "Dinosaur", with a whole lot on information both in the store and on the telephone. They were not only patient but were extremely generous with their time.I highly recommend them.

Amazing service, great pricing!! Had a new computer build that was not booting up. They diagnosed it as two bad dimm slots on the Motherboard (Moe even came back in and worked on the diagosnics until the wee hours of the morning, as nothing was making sense at all - hence why it ended up there after the custom build would not boot up and post). Ended up rmaing the board back to NewEgg for a refund and purchasing a new one from them (at a higher price than I could get had I bought from NewEgg again, but I was able to get it right then). Also cut me a deal on putting it in and everything back together (I just didnt want to hassle with it all again). Thanks Moe and crew!! Definitely will be back with any and all computer needs in the future. I brought it in to drop off at closing, was told it would be a 12-15 hr process to diagnose, but had a call by lunch with the issue the next day, and before closing (24 hours later), I picked up a working custom rig again. :-)

I was concerned about Computer Depo because of the bad comments posted here. However I still took my phone in for repair because they had given me the best estimate. Unfortunately my phone was damaged while they were working on it. I understand that is always a possibility when working on delicate eletronics but because they had caused the damage they quickly purchased me a new replacement phone which was an upgrade for me. I had spent significant time in the store during this process and observed that they do a lot of work on a lot of computers and cell phones. They appeared to have huge amounts of happy customers compared to the few unhappy ones posted here. What I think that is most significant is they took responsibility for what they did and replaced my phone with something at least as good as what I had. That shows integrity.

This is the best place in town to buy computer parts and I dont know why other people are trying to defame this place. I went there and I heard this man wanted a cable, but he didnt know which one, so he just kept yellin "Im lookin for a cable! I want a cable! It goes in back of the computer! Right there!" When one employee asked which cable (because there are so many cables; literally hundreds), the man said "You cant answer my question!" and the employee with black glasses and long hair just stood there like he wanted to cry, because the old man made him feel like crap. Then the man left and said that he "sucked!" The employee really was answering the mans questions. That is why I write this review. Some people just arent patient because they dont know anything about computers themselves. Poor employee though; how rude.
